You guys look for conspiracy's everywhere, everyone knows that the world is melting!!! You'd almost think so. The creek that runs out back of my house is now about 20-odd feet from my back fence. To boot Mrs Dis calls me at work to let me know that one of our "big trees" has just fallen over because of the soft soil and strong winds. Global warming? Good for firewood I guess. Cheers. I had three HUGE, 60-70 foot trees thirty feet from my house. On occasion, I would hear the wind blasting through them and couldn't help but wonder what would happen if one of them visited my roof.....and my bed. Chain Saw Bob gave me peace of mind. I remember when they were cutting them down. They cut one piece and it came straight down, put a one foot deep hole in dry ground. The guy estimated that each tree weighed about 4-5 tons. YIKES! |
