Even Don Cherry is big on this little guy.

#123, we drafted Danny Stewart of PEI. I guess we swapped with Wash.

now, if Paetsch is available next time we pick, we should pick him. This kid will be a solid NHL d-man from what I saw..nothing flashy but a steadyb 4th-5th-6th guy. But like dough and Edge I wonder if we a trade here since I thought we had 2 4th's?

From ISS, 5'8.5 175 5-8-84 An average skater good mobility, has the ability to make opposing players miss him when he is carrying the puck. Locke is excellent at distributing the puck and is able to find open teamates in pressure situations. Seems to consistently find a way to get open deep in the offensive zone. Led the entire CHL is scoring, and proved he is a force and a threat every time he hits the ice. 19 goals and 19 assists in the playoffs. It's scary to think how many pts he can put up next season.

I'm thrilled we grabbed him, when you're drafting in the 4th round I'd rather they take a chance on a guy that could be first-line material (or a bust) rather than a sure 4th liner... excellent.

A better Petrov. An smaller improved Ribeiro.

YES! We got the biggest steal in the year's draft (could be equal to how detroit got Hudler 59th last year in terms of talent sliding). from what i've heard about Locke, and from the numbers he put up, this kid might be small, but he's got amazing talent. 63 goals, 151 points in only 66 games. What a steal in the 4th round! i wanted to take him with Philly's 2nd!
