Man I wished we kept this player. He would of been the captain and chipped in 70+ points. The fans loved this guy and still do. Gionta better produce.

I can't disagree Dis..could there have been other changes that could have included Koivu and Kovalev or at the very least one of them??? As a die hard you tend to fall in love with certain players to a fault but imagine if lets say we kept Kovalev and Koivu minus Gionta and lets say Spacek? If we could have retained lets say Schniederr in the short term would we have a much stronger team? ??...we'll never know? As much as he frustrated me I loved Kovalev probably more because of the mystery ....he's like the preverbial box of choclates. I can't fault Bob for the route he took, for our sake I hope he made the right moves but Koivu aside I'm more curious how Kovakev would have fit in? Sadly he'll never be back and honestly starting even this year it might be for the best. HFTO HFTO

I'll miss Mr. Enigma, but he was given an offer and thought he could get more. He [or his agent] rolled the dice and lost. As much as I'da liked him in a Habs uni again, I'm glad Bob didn't sit around waiting and lose out all around for once.
