Trivia question:The Gazette once had this to say about a Habs player: "The life of the party these days in the Canadiens' camp is none other than (fill in the blank). He's the guy who put the buckle back in swashbuckle... When he hits 'em, they buckle." Who are they talking about? *** A tad obscure, I know, but I thought the quote was funny Hints at 12 noon and 3 pm, if required.

Ok, Skilly, you've got your work cut out for you now Trivia question:Name 13 players that have played 6 games or less in a regular season with Montreal. Player, season, # of games The fun part will be to see if we get any matches with my list... because I gave up after 13 [since it's my favourite number].

That's a bit unclear. Is this any player that in a given season played six games or less? Could they be players who played more games than that in their careers? Is he a skater, a goalie?

There's three from the 1992-1993 season alone (excluding goalies) - Turner Stevenson - 1, Eric Charron - 3 , and Patrick Carnback - 6.

That's 16 instances in 2 seasons loosely going by the rules of your question.

I am guessing that Val means that the player has played 6 games or less in his career and his entire NHL career was with Montreal

Ken Reardon Montreal Canadiens - 100 Years of Glory (Chapter 4) OMG, you're like the boy version of me, lol! Have you read the whole book yet? If so, there goes one of my sources... I've mentioned this a few times ... but Bob Gainey was here in St. John's int the summer of 2008 (mainly to open the Rocket Richard exhibit). He held a private forum (Q and A session) with about 50 fans ... during this gathering he read the preface that he wrote for the book to us ... D'Arcy (the author) is a personal friend of his ... ... my only regret was i didnt have acopy of the book then to get him to sign ... I did get a picture taken with him and his autograph on a homemade wooden Habs plaque

Corey Locke (1GP), Ben Maxwell (1GP), Jonathan Ferland (1GP), Duncan Milroy (~4GP), Olivier Michaud (1GP), David Desharnais (1GP)
Those are the recent ones I can remember who've not gone on to play anywhere else, perhaps "yet" for Maxwell and Desharnais.

Reg Abbott, 1952-53, 3 games John Aiken, 1957-58, 1 game Dave Allison, 1983-84, 3 Max Bennett, 1935-36, 1 Andre Binette, 1954-55,1 * goalie Gary Blaine, 1954-55, 1
... Going through the list of names of players who've played in at least a game for the Canadiens revealed those. I stopped out of boredom lol.

Skilly, I guess those are guys who just played 6 or fewer games for the Habs. Alex Henry played two full seasons for the Wild and another split between Edmonton and Washington. Many others of those guys have played elsewhere, too.

Here's my list... Jean-François Jomphe (98-99, 6GP) Matt Higgins (2000-01, 6GP; 97-98, 1GP) Sylvain Blouin (98-99, 5GP) Darcy Tucker (95-96, 3GP) Shayne Corson (85-86, 3GP) Turner Stevenson (92-93, 1GP; 93-94, 2GP) Mikhail Grabovski (2006-07, 3GP) David Allison (83-84, 3GP) Chris Murry (94-95, 3GP) Éric Landry (2001-02, 2GP) Éric Fichaud (2000-01, 2GP) Stéphane Fiset (2001-02, 2GP) Stéphane Richer (84-85, 1GP) So it looks like Turner was the only one BLNY and I had in common. And there are way too many guys that fit on this list, so we are now officially moving on to BLNY's question Edit: and now we are finished with that question too ;D Does someone else want to post a question? If that's the kind of list you wanted ... you forgot the obvious one ... Saku Koivu returned for the last 3 games of the season when he came back from cancer... You know how I did it? I just picked a guy randomly from the all-time roster, checked his stats, and then just kept randomly picking guys that figured in the "Some Teammates" section ;D After 13, I got bored too, lol! So I never got to Saku...

Here is an easy one ....
This day in history. On this date in 1971, Ken Dryden recorded his 3 assist to tie the NHL mark. What goalie holds the Habs record for most points in a season? How many?
Bonus. Who holds the NHL record? How many?
