If that's the kind of list you wanted ... you forgot the obvious one ... Saku Koivu returned for the last 3 games of the season when he came back from cancer... You know how I did it? I just picked a guy randomly from the all-time roster, checked his stats, and then just kept randomly picking guys that figured in the "Some Teammates" section ;D After 13, I got bored too, lol! So I never got to Saku... A game I played a few days ago was to pick a guy on the current roster who was just signed/acquired (i.e. Moen/MAB) and see how many clicks it took through "some teammates" to get back to the first Habs team. edit: My best was 15 teammates I think. Independent of the game above, the shortest connecting series of players (connecting players must be teammates in final season) I found that covers every season of the Habs goes: 1. Jack Laviolette (09-10 to 17-18) 2. Newsy Lalonge (17-18 to 21-22) 3. Sprague Cleghorn (21-22 to 24-25) 4. Aurel Joliat (24-25 to 37-38) 5. Toe Blake (37-38 to 47-48) 6. Doug Harvey (47-48 to 60-61) 7. Henri Richard (60-61 to 74-75) 8. Bob Gainey (74-75 to 88-89) 9. Patrick Roy (88-89 to 95-96) 10. Saku Koivu (95-96 to 08-09) 11. Andrei Markov (08-09 to current) Let's see if anyone can do better!

Skilly, without searching, the NHL record belongs to Grant Fuhr I believe. Would come from his days in Edmonton. As for the Habs record for a season, unsure. I'll have to dig.

Here is an easy one .... This day in history. On this date in 1971, Ken Dryden recorded his 3 assist to tie the NHL mark. What goalie holds the Habs record for most points in a season? How many? Bonus. Who holds the NHL record? How many? Patrick Roy! And I didn't have to look that up. It was 6 (1988-89) [and I had to look that up ] Skilly, without searching, the NHL record belongs to Grant Fuhr I believe. Would come from his days in Edmonton. As for the Habs record for a season, unsure. I'll have to dig. The site I checked agrees with you and it was 14 (1983-84).

Trivia question:What two NHL records were broken, by the Habs, in 1968-69? I am really not sure ... but will guess most wins and most points? Yes. Now you guys see why I prefer the obscure questions? Because Skilly can't get them that easily. If it's a stat, Skilly knows it or knows exactly where to find it 46 wins, which broke the Habs record set in 1955-56 103 points, which broke the Detroit record of 101 set in 1950-51 Trivia question:Name the players who made up the Grumpy Old Men line and the Aspirin line.

And who did he talk to? I have read or heard this on a broadcast this year .... I know the answer is Tomas Plekanec. And I think he spoke to Alex Kovalev, and Kovalev told him something about how inspired he got when he was left off the Olympic team to prove people wrong ... and he told Pleky to not worry about the Olympics but to just play his game..... So I am not sure if this is who you mean ... I did a quick google search and found this about Plekanec ... Plekanec's light went on during the offseason, when he said he worked to rebuild the confidence he could feel slipping away by the shift last year.
"I got myself into a hole on the mental side of the game," he said. "Through the summer I talked to some people who went through this during their careers (he didn't elaborate) and it helped me a lot. The mental side doesn't come right away. I'm still working at it."
What I didn't know is that when Montreal was eliminated last year, Plekanec got up on a make-shift soap-box (on a box of pucks) and apologized to the team for his poor play ... Plekanec has always been his own worst critic. And, refreshingly, the most candid.
Seven months ago today, he stood on a makeshift platform at the team's Brossard training facility - in fact, on a box of 100 game pucks not needed for the playoffs - to dissect his club's hasty postseason exit and his own substandard performance. He'd just accepted his native Czech Republic's invitation to join their world-championship team.
"I answered that I'm not really sure if I'll be helpful," Plekanec said that afternoon. "I told them I was disappointed with the way I played (during the NHL season). I was honest with them."

1) The Habs have had a player from every Canadian province. Only one from PEI. Can you name him? I won't give the answer until someone posts an answer ... still find it hard to believe there has only been one ever on the Habs
2) They have had a player born in 19 out of the 50 US States. Most of the players were born in the East, a few in the central region ... but only 2 western States have supplied the Habs with players. I didn't ask a question here, but Wasington and California are the Western US states that spawned Habs players... if anyone want I could name all 19 states
3) The have had players from 18 of the 53 European countries (If I break the UK up into 4 countries) Name the German? Much like Dany Heatley, Mikhail Grabovski was born in Deutschelund
4) The Habs have had player from 4 of the 7 continents. Name the Asian and the South American? Rod Langway was born in Taiwan, and Rick Chartraw was born in Venezuela

You are half-way right, it is Tomas, but not Alex The answer is out there, want to try again? I also remember reading the parts you quoted about the box o' pucks and the not being very useful to the Czech team. Poor guy, he was right down on himself... must have heard us yelling at the buses to run him over I will spend some time researching your questions after supper... and I'm out of here in 15 minutes, so no time for that now. But I will try

I'm going to go ahead and guess Grabovski, who was born in Germany but as far as I've known has no German citizenship. As for the PEI question, I looked it up but I want to see if anyone actually knows the answer.

Good grief man, is there no question you don't have the answer to Thanks for the question though ... I was trying to remember all the Swedish players to have played for the Habs, and when I thought of Dackell, I tried to see how many Swedes played for the Habs. In my search I found out that 1) The Habs have had a player from every Canadian province. Only one from PEI. Can you name him? 2) They have had a player born in 19 out of the 50 US States. Most of the players were born in the East, a few in the central region ... but only 2 western States have supplied the Habs with players. 3) The have had players from 18 of the 53 European countries (If I break the UK up into 4 countries) Name the German? 4) The Habs have had player from 4 of the 7 continents. I swear to you guys I haven't looked further in the thread to see what you have been posting, honest. 1) John Chabot, Summerside (83-85, 56 regular season games + 10 playoffs first season, 11 rsg second season) 2) California -- Craig Ferguson (93-94 = 2GP, 94-95 = 1GP, 95-96 = 10GP) Washington [not D.C.] -- Wayne Hicks (63-64 = 2GP) 3) our friend Mikhail Grabovski, East Germany 4) Asian -- Rod Langway, Taiwan (78-82) South American -- Rick Chartraw, Venezuela (74-80/81 season, when he went to the LA Kings) I love discovering new sources of info [Must bookmark that site pronto!] Now off to see if my answers matched...

He read some self-help books on confidence and got a pep talk from Jaromir Jagr. Jagr told him to stop beating himself up over mistakes.
