Not sure if we want to have on thread for all trades this year or not, but here's one to start this thread anyway. Oilers trade Grebishkov to Nashville for a 2nd this year. tsn.ca/nhl/story/?id=312032TSN is also reporting that Nashville may move Hamhuis to Philly for Ryan Parent.

Anahiem trades Artyukhin to Atlanta for Oystrick and a pick.www.tsn.ca/tradecentre/story/?id=312071I wouldn't have minded Gauthier picking up Artyukhin to play out the season. His contract is pretty cheap and we're absolutely desperate for some toughness at forward. Oystrick is a second tier prospect, so it really all depends on that conditional pick. Islanders trade Greg Moore to Columbus for Jeff er... Dylan Reesewww.tsn.ca/tradecentre/story/?id=312054Two career AHL'ers. Nothing to see here

Leopold to the PenguinsPittsburgh picks up Jordan Leopold in exchange for a second round pick in 2010. Details A depth move to be sure. IMO, that's what we should be looking for if we decide to trade a guy like Paul Mara. Similar players, virtually identical salaries.

Senators thinking they're going to be in the thick of it. We'll see if Miller can carry the Sabres to 3rd and bump the Sens against Pittsburgh or NJ while we scramble to see if we can play the Caps.
Meanwhile, we need NYI the Canes and ghe Panthers to fall apart to push the Leafs up.
We are going to be just in or just out. Of course.

I like Skoula's game...don't know much about Caputi. Guess they realized that they need more puck-moving d-men.

Not very long ... the speculation is the Penguins tried to move him to other teams, to make cap space for Poni. Leafs, finally agreed to take him ... so if thats true, I expect Toronto to try and unload him.

More pearls from Eklund involving the Habs:
Andrew Cogliano: The Rangers, Leafs, Jackets and Habs all in on him.
Saku Koivu: Montreal maybe, Nash, Buff, or Minnesota.
Jere Lehtinen: The Preds could grab him, but he also fits in well with NJ, Buffalo, Montreal.
Peter Mueller: The Avalanche are the team to watch with Peter as of now. But don't be shocked if NJ, Montreal, Toronto, or Boston get in.
Also says:
Tomas Vokoun: Top source who knows him well says he is not waiving NTC until the summer. Flyers definitely tried.
If true about Vokoun and Emery is gone for Season, maybe we could squeeze something out of them for a goalie.

Skoula played under Lemaire in Minny.....makes sense....
Leafs get a middle-round draft pick in return, says Darren Dregger. 3rd or 4th, most likely.
