For those keeping score at home - a 4th & a 5th for Poni. And we paid a 2nd for Moore. *sigh* They got Caputi as well....not a bad return for a rental. Caputi was the fourth - he was a fourth round pick in 2007. It's a decent return for a rental, I'm more miffed at the price Gauthier paid for Moore.

They got Caputi as well....not a bad return for a rental. Caputi is the 4th rounder ... With 111 points in 66 games in the OHL last year.

Seidenberg to the Bruins. Bitz to the Panthers.
Other elements involved but those are main ones.

Don't know if anyone mentioned this but Hamrlik was asked to waive his no trade this morning.

I'm more miffed at the price Gauthier paid for Moore. I haven't stopped being disgusted by it; as I stated earlier in this thread, I'm amazed at what one can buy for 2nd's and 4th's.

I didn't know that Hammer had a NTC.

Ward's a UFA, garnered a 4th AND a goalie prospect (who's admittedly dropped in value a fair amount). I don't think that's dissimilar from the price paid for Moore. It's a lot, but the market sets the price.

It's funny to see Jay's take and then 3 seconds later you hear it on the audio ;D I didn't know that Hammer had a NTC. Oh god, I thought you guys prefered Hamr to Spacek. Or is it that we could actually get something/one for Hamr as opposed to Spacek?

Oh god, I thought you guys prefered Hamr to Spacek. Or is it that we could actually get something/one for Hamr as opposed to Spacek? Depends on the buyer. Are they more interested in a year of Roman Hamrlik at $5.5 million, or 2 years of Jaroslav Spacek at $3.85 million. On a per year basis, Spacek is cheaper. LT investment is cheaper for Hamrlik.

Mueller and Porter to Colorado for Wolski. Wolski was on the "you're on standby -- we'll tell you where to get a ticket to" list. Still . . .

Mueller and Porter to Colorado for Wolski. I like that trade for Colorado, although Wolski is a fine player. With Porter, another one of Pacioretty's ex Wolverine teammates is on the move today. Chad Kolarik must be next.

LT investment is cheaper for Hamrlik. I shudder to think where the Habs would be in the standings right now if Hamrlik wasn't there during Markov's long injury. Spacek on the other hand, has looked lost on his wrong side and has been over-worked by all looks of things. I would move him first if I could find a taker.
