Healthy scratch lots of miles but a guy this team could use in the short term....it'll be ineresting to see where he lands.

I read today that when he has been in the lineup this year he's looked terrible. The whole team has. Perhaps a fresh start with NJ North gets him going?
That said, with Gorges gone for the year we have more pressing needs elsewhere.

yup, talk is he's being shopped.
it's all his fault that the Devils are doing so poorly. the fact that they have millions invested in some other guy that hasn't produced [Kovulchuk has 7 more points than Langenbrunner] isn't a factor.

TSN reports he's been asked to waive his no-trade.

I'd inquire about Jaime Langenbrunner He would cost us 1.4 million I believe ....

Bobby Mac saying primary interest is in the west with St Louis, San Jose, and Dallas. He also notes the Flyers are interested but that Lou has never made a deal with Philadelphia.

I wouldnt hate this move you could reunite him with Gomer and Gionta and the put Patches with Desharnais and Pouliot. It'd depend on what Lou wants back.It doesn't help us get younger but I don't think thats PG focus this year, a deal like this would would be for this year only.

Reports are he's heading back to Dallas for a conditional third round pick.

tsn.ca/nhl/story/?id=348383To Dallas for a conditional 3rd this year. Has anyone before Jamie played for 2 teams twice in their career. Very odd stat.

An UFA at season's end and probably a temporary acquistion (who's to say really) for a 3rd-rounder.
Cheers.

if the bar has been set: a UFA-to-be for a third rounder . . . let's get at it before someone else does.

What is the better deal:
Moore for a 2nd rounder
or
Langenbrunner for a conditional 3rd?

NoElund has Arnott close to coming here....no doubt the Habs could use some size but theyd have to put Arnott on the wing. Would have loved him six years ago when Bob tried to bring him from Dallas. At his cap hit unless a roster player went this would take up G's remaing cap space. Wonder if they'd take AK..he won't be back so I'd take anything and such a move would leave a bit of room for a trade deadline deal.

Our offense would increase enough give his ice time to Desnarhais
