tsn.ca/nhl/story/?id=370268... for a 4th rounder. Vancouver apparently offered him the same deal Bieksa got. He balked, for now, so they traded his rights.

This would make me think that PG could get something back for Wisniewski's rights rather than let him walk for nothing, especially after giving up a 2nd for him.

For a 4th I would probably keep Wiz rights. We may have better chance to sign him

Ehrhoff being in play like this means it gives teams another option come Friday. I still sincerely hope PG gets him signed. He brings every bit the offense than Ehrhoff does, and he does it with a lot more jam and grit.

Darn, Buffalo got a bit better. $4M cap hit is not out of this world. They are chronic cheapies after all, although the new ownership group may have slightly deeper pockets.
Sure don't want to give a guy like Ruff a good team...it could be dangerous.

PLUS they have Regehr.
Buffalo edged us out for 5th last season...and they got better on the back end, for sure. And no doubt a little less reliance on Miller's brilliance. Looked to me as if he ran out of gas vs. Philly in the playoffs. Some very unMiller-like goals allowed.

It doesn't hurt to have a billionaire owner with bright eyes because of his new toy.

Everyone has the same amount of money to spend. It's how you spend it that counts. Buffalo was weak on defense and up the middle. They've solved the defense issue, and Richards would improve the centre position a bunch. With Roy as a #2 centre, that's a pretty good one two punch.
