They won't deal Patches... for this deal to work Gomez needs to be dealt or demoetd which is highly unlikely.

Assuming Gomez is sent to Hamilton some sort of salary would have to go the other way,my guess maybe Cammy since he is under achieving and makes the most after Gomez.

You could see Calgary having intrest in Eller, as well as a top prospect.

This deal won't be cheap if it in fact exists.

As much as this team needs an Iginla this team isn't exactly swimming in decent young players.

and that is what Calgary will be after -- they need to restock the cupboard, and they won't be able to do it with Habs.

Exactly Franko thats why you see the reports of them wanting a Patches, Weber a pick and probably one of Leblanc Tinordi or a Beaulieu.Can you imagine? and then the Habs would have to deal with Gomez.
If this team was say that one player away from Boston or Pittsburgh maybe you role the dice but they are so much further.

I don't think even PG would go that far. our cupboard is stretched to bareness as it is . . . take away those pieces -- even half of those pieces . . . and we'll no longer be the Montreal Senators, we'll be the Montreal Flames.
