I think we can help them out. We have D we can offer them. I think Gill would fit well with them. They have over 4 mill in cap space. Let's send them Gill and take Leddy back

One thing I will never understand is, why so many people here feel that our retreads would be wanted by any other team if we don't want them? Everybody criticizes (fill in the blank), but for some reason you feel that other teams would be happy to take the player? Habs fans are notorious for over-valuing their players.

Interesting trade partner Maybe some sort of combination of Gill , Kostitsyn, Moen, Weber, Danny Kristo, Avstin, Palushaj , draft pick (s) for Dylan Olsen or Jeremy Morin & draft picks

You don't think a playoff team would want Gill for 3 or 4 months? You don't think he can help the Hawks on the PK? Keith and Seabrook are hitting 24 to 25 minutes a game and if they can save them from having to be on the PK, why wouldn't they? And yes Habs fans overvalue their players and prospects. Check out other teams, their fans and media do as well. All you have to do is listen to the sports talk radio in any canadian city and it's all the same.

Ribs is doing great in Dallas. The leafs seem to be happy with Grabs. The issue has always been poor asset management, that includes the lack of mentoring.

I'll add that trade deadline combined with teams wanting to make a push means value goes up too. Get a couple of bidders, and it's just like Barrett-Jackson.

My cousin went and he said it was incredible. I went to SEMA this year and it was amazing also.

Not to mention one of our re-treads did the job on us and got the Bruins into the second round so they could march to the Cup.

Blackhawks be drafting late and this draft is weak after first round....hold out for a 2nd Or do what they did with the Cammalleri trade - push the pick to next year. It's always been a secret strategy of mine, asking for a higher pick in a future year. Don't know if it would work or not, but I always thought that a lot of GMs were pretty short-sighted, so if you were to ask for a 2nd or even a 1st round pick say three years from now (or whatever the maximum future pick you are allowed to trade for is) they may be more inclined to do so. Three years from now? Meaning the pick in all likelihood won't be with the team for another six to seven years, maybe even as far away as ten years? Some GMs might just say "sure, give me the player, I'll worry about the future in the future." And that way you get higher picks, and if you do it every year in a few years you're going to find yourself with a slew of picks lined up for many years in a row. And who knows, maybe you'll even luck into a really, really good pick if some team tanks a couple of years from now...
