Not one to spout rumours, McKenzie is reporting that Dallas may put their captain on the block between now and the deadline. tsn.ca/nhl/story/?id=386166He's got another year left at $4.1 million. If we were closer, this might be the sort of move I'd jump at. Brendan if, traded, should fetch a pretty hefty return. Great leader, really good two way player, durable, etc. 33 years old.

Not good fit for Habs. He's on back end of career and overpayment to acquire. Given his value to Cup contender. Be good fit for Canucks?

But, he's the kind of player perfect for a team that's close. His numbers have dipped this year, but he scored more than 30 last year. I think anyone in the top 4 of either conference should be interested at the very least.
