It was mentioned on L'AntiChambre that there was representation from 11 teams at the game vs Winnipeg. St.Louis had 3 scouts at the game. They mentioned that it maybe the reason why Weber was in the lineup and that Diaz was scratched. We have 8 defencemen on our current roster. Subban-Gorges-Emelin (keepers) Kaberle (stuck with) Diaz-Weber (listen to) Gill-Campoli (trade) 9-Markov(praying for a healthy return next year) 10-11 Beaulieu & Tinordi (samplings of games next year) 12-St.Denis-Mitera-Nash (add on in a trade)

Kaberle has not played that poorly since the acquisition. 13 points in 23 games and -2. I can live with that level of production. If we had a good shot from the point, it would be higher.
Re the scouts, this will be a common thread for the next 3 weeks. I expect Campoli to play a fair amount during this period as well. Hopefully we can get a mid round pick for him.

rumor of Gill to Philadelphia? shows how desperate the Flyers are. What's their PK efficiency? Gill will be in demand. Less calls in the playoffs, his pk skill, and the fact he knows how to get under the skin of guys like Crosby all add value.

FWIW, eklund is reporting that Carter or Nash could go this week. The latter has officially said he'd waive his ntc if the club asked him to (and he liked the team he was being sent to I presume).

The Toronto Sun? That pinnacle of investigative journalism? Sorry, I always skip right past the sports to the Sunshine Girl.

sports radio here has him on sometimes pregame and as filler other times. last week he was on the morning show and they played a "who's Bruce Garrioch?" clip, rubbing it in.
ah Bruce, retire . . .

I could see the Jckets looking at Pleks he's a better fit for Nash than Carter and I'm sure Columbus wants to get out of that 10 yr contract. I liked Crter in Philly but if this is the player your going to get going foward it'll be a huge anchor...would be just like PG.

If Carter has a NTC to waive, I doubt it'd be to the Habs. He got moved out of Philly for a reason....and hasn't he been less than a "team guy" in Columbus?
How long would that character type last under the Montreal microscope?

I'm not really interested in Carter either. Damaged goods I'm afraid. Holmgren did amazing to get out from under he and Richards. Nash, on the other hand, is intriguing despite is lowish points per dollar number.

A fabulous player that I'd love in our colours.

Yes he can, often of the highlight reel variety. If I'm Columbus, I'm eying Grigorenko to be his center.
