From Colorado to Tampa for Downie; to Detroit from Tampa for a 1st.
Won't that tick off the Avalanche!

That's cozy. Yzerman gets a 1st from his old team. Didn't Quincey play in Detroit at one time?

Downie is likely worth a second. A second from Tampa is worth about the same as Detroit's first. IMO, deal's a pretty close.

The Tampa fire sale continues, and all on the heels of the injury to Vinny news. I don't think we will be picking ahead of them anymore come this June.

Detroit seems really pumped to go for broke. PG is having a lot of patience with Moen and he should. The price only goes up between now and Monday as the contenders bulk up for the playoffs and each team tries to one up the other. Hell, we may get a first for Moen at this rate.

Not unless he plays a game before the deadline. His injury is worrying me simply because PG might lose the opportunity to trade him.

Well, if Quincey doesn't work out that well for Detroit, he can always do the post-mortem.

When we traded Latendresse we got an injured Pouliot in return and waited for him to recover from his injury

Gainey traded Theodore when he had a broken foot. As long as the other team knows...

It's according to team you are trading with and seriousness of injury. Some clubs may wish to see him play a full game first while other clubs may not
