McKenzie is tweeting that the deal is close, but not done. Jack Johnson is the prominent player from the Kings going the other way.

Kings getting a deal if just Johnson going other way. I am not the biggest Jack Johnson fan. He is terrible defensively yet not enough offense to make up for it.
I'd like to see an old fashion blockbuster.. Carter and Nash for Johnson, Bernier and Kopitar

Kings need scoring. Jackets need an identity [to replace Nash].
Kings get what they want, gnick, but Jackets don't [though they do get a goalie, which they are also desperate for].

I don't think Johnson is the only player going the other way. I guess you could call him a centerpiece even if Bernier is also part of the deal. I have more or less the same opinion of Johnson. Not anywhere near good enough offensively to make up for his defensive shortcomings. I don't see him enough, but he's got Komisarek written all over him imo.
I think money would keep that big deal with Nash and Carter from happening. I also don't think LA would do it because the pairing hasn't worked in Columbus. Kopitar and Nash would be fun to watch, but with Kopitar going back that's out the window.
I look at LA's roster, and they have some decent players up the middle. Kopitar and Brown are a pretty solid 1-2 punch. It's their wingers that let them down. In that sense, the deal with Carter doesn't compute for me.

JJ and a 1st is the latest rumor. Definitely has legs. Wish we were a little more involved. I guess we'll get a first line center one of these days or decades

He'd be scrutinized one way or the other if he does/doesn't make a move at the trade deadline. But, that's a separate issue. Cheers. Forget it ... MAN! If the Kings can't win now ...

Could you see a Price for Nash deal followed by AK and Weber maybe to LA for Jonathan Bernier? Just throwing it out. That's a rumour started by me. ;D

TSN reports done deal. JJ and a first. Kings getaway with one I think I guess this early in a 10 year deal means a diminished return.

Seriously. It's the first time I heard of this one. Do you have a source? No, I wouldn't trade Subban for anything by the way. Cheers.

I think he's better than JJ too. Subban and Tinordi are the future of our blueline - hopefully. The only way you trade Subban is for a franchise player. Carter is NOT that player.
