Via Pierre Lebrun, CBJ beat write Portzline is claiming that Tampa and Montreal have expressed interest in Brassard.
No thanks! He's not an upgrade over any of our top 3 centers.

If we have another trade in making dealing one of our centers I would offer a Weber but not much.
Brassard had a big year in Q his draft year and was quite a high pick. Had a good year in AHL and start to his NHL career then bottom fell out. I don't know what went wrong with him.

You can see why Tampa has an interest, Boucher coached him in Drummondville and probably knows his upside.

He's averaged about 76 games in each of the last two seasons. He's producing at about .5ppg. Trading for a center should only happen if it's a clear upgrade over what we have. This is at best a lateral move.

these rumors have been on Twitter for a while now. He has picked it up lately with 10 pts. in the last 10 games.
I'm with CO though when it comes to WEber, don't give him away unless it's a clear upgrade. Give him more time under new management next year (please!) to see what he can do.

Well, if Gauthier figure they can get him back to his form out of junior maybe worth a low risk

That year was the best I've seen him play to be honest; dynamic. Then a season-ending knee injury kept him out (forget how many games). He never found his groove again after that initial knee injury. Cheers.

I think it was a shoulder - he injured himself in a fight after a good start to the season.
