Maybe Travis's agent already told Bergevin to get stuffed, and now we're just trying to make the right noises for when we lose him as a UFA, or even get a bidding war going for his rights for talks before July 1st.
(NB: Anyone else find it annoying how the 2 key dates in the summer calendar match with 2 holidays in Quebec ? The draft is always close to St-Jean-Baptiste, and UFA-day is Canada day. It makes it a dilemma every year - follow hockey in real time, or take advantage of the only two long summer weekends in Quebec ?)

In translating the article on Google, it just says he'd learn by today whether or not he'll get another contract with Montreal. Day aint over yet.
