Maybe a (Centre) Bell curve was used in the grading....

For a moment I thought that I was reading Guy!'s post-game evaluations with all those high grades! Bodes well for the future if those "A" guys can play an "A" game when they hit the bigs. But you have to look at the level of competition. A players stuck out cause the quality wasn't there. Most of this camp was 18-19 year old CHL players, with most of them likely never to make the NHL. What the A's suggest is that they were the best of the bunch at this camp, not meaning they will be anything special down the road, but at this camp they were the best. Most of the 25 guys there will likely never see the bigs, or not very much of it anyways.

Did anyone at the camp look as though he could play for the Habs 2 years from now? I assume Kostitsyn and Danis have a much better than average chance, but was there anyone else who might not have to have to wait until he was about 22 or 23 before Gainey brought him up?

Not really, imo. Kostitsyn would be the only one, although Korpikari maybe, although I'd hate to see them rush him, he's very mature and professional on the ice from the looks of it. Danis I would guess, but we'll have to see him against AHLers not 18-19 year old CHLers. I found Archer was impressive compared to the others, I don't know if his success at camp will translate into AHL success but he looked sharp. Chipchura and Lapierre maybe as well, as both have good size (Lapierre looks stronger) and both play a smart defensive game. Chipchura I think needs to improve his foot speed and shot power, but in two years he might be ready, although again I hope they don't rush him. Lapierre skates so well with good speed and he works hard. Seemed to use his slap shot often, I was impressed with him a lot. Both should be NHLers in 3-4 years I'd say. Also I want to see more from Lindberg, he was the biggest surprise for me, as he was very fast with his reflexes and moves.
