www.tsn.ca/nhl/story/?id=415941First, they get Eric Tangradi from Penguins for a 7th rounder this year. Then they send Ponikarovsky to the Devils for a 4th in 2014 and a 7th this year. Devils forward Zubrus is out up to 8 weeks with wrist surgery, and precipitated the Poni deal.

I'd like the Habs to trade for a bigger center who can win face-offs. Even if bottom line center

Yep...should be had cheap. Had good chemistry last year with Prust. Can win faceoffs, is huge and throws his weight around. Not much of a goal scorer though. Maybe deal Desharnais for 2nd round pick and move Eller up...deal mid-round pick for Boyle?

Are we sure the Rangers are interested in parting with him? He seems a crowd and locker room favorite, and NYR is already gone through a bit of backlash letting Prust go.
He's got another year on his deal at $1.7 million. He's more a third liner imo, given his production.
DD, Pleks, AGaly, Eller: even if DD is moved Eller is still in limbo. I don't see Boyle too interested in 4th line minutes. He is struggling this year though.

Suppressing our own talent keeping him at 4th line minutes with a couple of pluggers. Team needs a little bigger down the middle and shot of life on top lines. Boyle I heard is available if not a fourth line faceoff specialist not expensive to acquire

We need to get bigger, and better at draws. It'll be up to MB and MT to decide who stays, but as I see it the 'bubble' players are DD and Eller. Pleks likely doesn't go anywhere, unless you find a taker. Maybe you do, if you can find someone with some big defenders to spare.
Likeliest scenario would be:
Plekanec Galchenyuk Eller Boyle
I don't mean to sound like I'm giving up on DD, but he's a 1-2 guy. Eller is more able to play that third line spot imo.
