I'm getting my brains scrambled by the wind. Lifted the screen, fine up to 100kph and now it worse art 120kph. It's so bad, I can't see. I'm riding with an open face helmet and it may be part of t he issue.
Ordered a new, taller screen and if that doesn't solve it, I'm getting a close face helmet. if it still doesn't go away, the bike will.

5,000 km in and still alive. I have this magic mod powers and I'm tempted to change your name to SoreButt.

I feel like I should be standing in front of Phil Keoghan of The Amazing Race: after 63 days, 14,725 kilometers, 2 oil changes, 1 lost key, too many Tim Horton and Starbucks coffees to mention -- along with innumerable bad meals on the road -- I have made it back to Ottawa.
All in all, a great trip. Reconnected with family and friends -- some I hadn't seen in 25 years. Rode some fantastic/amazing roads -- AB/BC #3 / #3A through the mountains [not as hard as BLNY would have, I'm sure]; #4 across Vancouver Island; #99 through Whistler and Lilloet . . . revisited a number of places I'd visited or lived.
10 minutes -- yes, minutes -- of rain through the trip. The Island was drizzly, of course, and one day I delayed leaving my B&B in the States by half an hour because of showers, but other than that . . . 10 minutes of rain-gear-wearing wet stuff.
Back to work Sep 3. Actually, starting now, putting this trip into perspective [gotta be able to say how the sabbatical was a good thing for me].
Don't quite look like the above picture, but my lower back is sore, I tell you. Wasn't planning to be home until Saturday or Sunday, but said "enough is enough" and rode long and hard [for me, anyway]. Glad I bought a gel seat, but after 4 hours it started to feel like I was sitting on bricks anyway.
More than willing to regale anyone interested with stories and pictures . . . but bring on the hockey season, already!

Good to see you back safely, buds. Quite the trip. I took about six months off work before heading back part-time. Have a renewed energy for work. Another part-time gig in Ottawa, no less. I'll drop you a line with details.
Sounds like an excellent trip, Franko. I look forward to hearing more about it.
Cheers.
