Apparently, Chris and Clarkson are close friends and he claims that Clarkson will definitely be signing with the Leafs come UFA day.

He's Devil's property until July 5 If it does happen it's another example of Lamoriello mishandling of his UFAs. The quality & number of players that he has let walk for nothing is ridiculous. |

Well, I think it's more Clarkson telling a friend he has every intention of signing with Toronto than actually having spoken with them. That said, if the league was on top of things they'd at least pick up the phone to investigate.
