Shocker. Not much time to enjoy all that fame and fortune. He was a large man, and likely lived large as well. Maybe even had a hereditary heart condition.

Yeah, I just read that put it up on my Facebook feed. Wounder what's up with that.
Quite the character he develped in Tony Soprano. Possibly the most convincing mob character I've watched.

My favorite show & the predecessor for a lot of great cable series.

To top off the tragic aspect, he was considered a nice guy in the acting business. Not enough of those ego-less types in that industry. The ones that manage it are the type you'd like to have as a friend.

Just noticed this thread...i'm a huge fan of the series and was in the middle of watching it straight through for the 4th or 5th time when i heard the news. His work on that series was just genius. RIP James Gandolfini.
