While we are waiting for paint to dry....grass to grow in Habland, I was watching the last episodes of Dexter and Burn Notice. Not thrilled that they are now heading for the dust bin.
What multi-year tv series/program where you sad to see go? For me, it was Hill Street Blues, NexGen Star Trek, House, Sex IN the City, Baywatch, way back to The Prisoner and Smothers Brothers. Okay, not Baywatch or Sex In the City Streets.
What multi-year tv programs/series do you miss?

1. The Larry Sanders Show, 1992-98. Tons of gold. Could've used a couple more seasons, for sure. Rip Torn at his best as Artie. Sanders and KIngsley...brilliant characters.
2. NHL playoffs on HNIC, 1976-79. Sad to see the end of that multi-year run!
The last goal of that run. Lemaire in the second period of Game 5 vs. the Rangers, 1979. Made it 4-1...which was the final score. Lemaire also scored the eventual winner on one of his patented on-the-rush slapshots from the blue line. One of the all-time clutch playoff performers.

Boston Legal. Show was a classic in my opinion. James Spader was terrific, as was William Shatner. Shatner managed to get a few plugs in for Star Trek at various times, my favourite being when he said to a crowd of reporters as he was walking through them "I once captained my own spaceship".

I liked Breakout Kings....wouldn't say it was a classic but it killed some time.

I used to love watching The Prisoner because it was so different. Only 17 episodes to the series. Patrick McGoohan, who played "Longshanks" in "Braveheart", was the series protagonist ... "be seeing you" ...
Here's "Rat Patrol". I always had a facination with the military/history, etc.
Used to have my friends over for "Up Pompeii". Frankie Howerd played a slave, Lurcio, who is the property of his master, Ludicrus Sextus. Only on for two seasons but it was classic British humour.
Another British sitcom I really enjoyed was "Doctor in the House". A lot of good triggers with that one.
Journey to the Bottom of the Sea was really popular. One of those shows we talked about at school.
There are more, but I've run out of time.

Burn Notice is cancelled!!!?
The jerks!
Loved it, especially the captions that would slide in to describe the characters - Barry, Sleazy Gun Dealer.
Robin Hood, James Bond and McGyver, all rolled into one show. Can someone play Taps, please?
