You just know the Canadiens Bashing Corp. will be slanted for Tampa and their Toronto boy, Stamkos. Reprehensible for a program called Hockey Night in CANADA. Cherry's "nationalist" stance will go from a Canadian-based team to the good Canadian boys on other teams.
I'll be watching RDS...no question.

CBC hasn't been an option in my house for a few years now. RDS all the way.

Neither, directv. It usually is whoever is playing AGAINST the Habs!

first people who watch CBC have to overcome the Stamkos lovefest [what a remarkable comeback after his injury!] then the Cherry Boston lovefest [projecting possibilities, not taking anything away from CBJ].
eventually it'll be the west division is so much stronger, ending with Montreal had an easier time in the playoffs because the west is so much more physical and the teams beat themselves up so much that the Habs did not have so many nagging injuries to hold them back.
the only problem with this scenario is that MT gets a contract extension and PK leaves at the first opportunity.

RDS for sure. I stopped watching Montreal games on CBC years ago. Besides, Pierre Houde and Marc Denis are pretty good.

My French isn't strong either but I will watch RDS. I tried CBC last week with Brown & Galley & had to change the channel because it sounded like a Sens broadcast. I don't want homerism but I don't want the anti-Hans bias either.

I expect CBC to start, then the customary switch to RDS when the rhetoric gets too much...and it will.

If Bob Cole is doing the Hab games then I'll watch CBC. Wish TSN had the Hab games for the playoffs. Criticism of our team doesn't bother me as much as it used to. Before it was like CBC was rubbing it in and we always seemed to get Bob Cole and Harry Neale. I don't know if CBC told them to specifically promote the Leafs, but between Cole's call and Neale's analyzing, it sure felt came across that way. I would go as far to say that, Cole and Neale were probably the worst, most-biased pair on the air at one point. However, CBC eventually had to admit that the Leafs really did, and really do nowadays ... suck dirty bath water. The Cole/Neale team was finally broken up. That was a start. Having said that, I really don't know one way other, but I suspect Bob Cole might be doing the play-by-play with Garry Galley as the analyst. I don't mind his call providing he's not doing a Leafs game. Can't remember the last he did a one of those, to be honest. Don't keep track of it. Though, I do feel Bob Cole has been doing a great job over the past few seasons. I found he and Galley to be pretty balanced. If Galley finds something wrong with the Habs, he'll point it out ... as he does with other teams. Still get RDS and I think I only checked them out when TSN Montreal or CBC (Cole/Galley) wasn't carrying the game. TSN M, is pro-Montreal but I don't mind in the least. It's nice to finally have a crew that does Montreal games exclusively. Yeah, I'll watch Cole/Galley. I find they call it the way it is. If the Habs suck, they say so and it doesn't bother me at all. Cheers.

They blew that call!!

You can watch RDS and listen to the broadcast on TSN690. I'm sure you can find a way to stream the broadcast on the Internets if you can't get it on the radio. CJAD800 works well as well.

In this house, you will never see the habs on CBC. I can't bring myself to watch a broadcast by someone who doesn't eat and sleep the habs as I do. Pierre Houde might miss the odd call, but he has a firm grasp on the pulse of this team. As for the intermissions, I PVR the game and watch it an hour and 5 minutes late, ffw through all the commercials and intermissions.

For me always depends on the stupidity level not too many are as critical as I am but when they start reaching I tune out.
CBC has gone way down on it's talent level and it's objectivity....it'll possibly get worse with the Leaf-centric Sportsnet crew next year.
I don't want a Hab love in but I want a fair constructive analysis of the game and stories from both sides whom ever is playing.

There's always been a time-delay between the TV feed and the radio call. I forget which is ahead...but I think it's the radio. I understand enough French to truly enjoy the RDS play-by-play. As far as the CBC crew goes...I can't imagine the Toronto A-team being replaced by Cole/Galley. I bet it's Hughson-Simpson in the booth. Healy between the benches. Maclean, Cherry, Stock, et al. Every one of them is pro-Leaf/Bruin...which means anti-Montreal. Screw the lot of them!!!!

My son has a Bud Red Light at his mom's house, and he says that the light and the horn go off as much as a few seconds before the goal on TV.

RDS in TO and RDS in Montreal are also not in sync. I was on the phone with my brother(MTL) during a game and he was a few seconds ahead of my feed.
