A good move I think. Would also set the market value for Markov if Berg decided he couldn't get a deal done.

Isles now shopping Boyle, couldn't agree to a contract. If Markov and the Yandle rumours don't pan out, he's a viable option imo.

He would take exactly what MB is willing to give to Markov. I would get him if Markov doesn't pan out. Question is, does Dan Boyle want to come to MTL. He will probably look for a contender and he might not see Habs as being one. MB would have to make significant moves to attract a player looking for a Cup before he retires.
