On the replay, I wonder if Patches was hooked on the shorthanded dekeinto the middle.. Why do we keep making bad passes? Fatigue?

Tokarski forced to make another save. Our goalie's getting pounded.

Rangers are 8-7-4 and look like world beaters.

They seem to be able to play us well. Though today, I think we're lacking energy. They haven't playedin 5 days because of the cancelled Sabres game. No excuse. I think we can beat them anyway. OUr best guys have to start creating, though.

Yup, from looking at the way we're passing the puck, it really looks like we're just a bit off, which often happens when you're tired. More mental and physical mistakes.

The neutral zone turnovers are momentum killers, 17.

One thing about our team which I'm curious about. The way we seem to be able to come back in the third period suggests that our conditioning is pretty good and as the game wears on, the other guys slow down more than we do. I'm not sure that will become evident today given this is our final game in quite a string, while the Rangers have had a lot of time off. But it will be interesting. LEt's keep it close, guys.

The neutral zone turnovers are momentum killers, 17. Yes, easy transition for the other guys.

Absolutely no pressure on Lundqvist.
When we suck....we suck.
I'm not using fatigue.
Pacioretty and DD did nothing last night in Boston....
Where are they tonight?

3-0.
Game over.
Our best players haven't shown up.
Get ready for another blowout loss.

Emelin should have skated hard from the get go, not wait until St. Louis was right on him. Payback time? I start with Kreider. We may not win this game, but we'll win something for the future.

We won't take the Boston approach. I'm pointing the finger right at our supposed 1st line. They did nothing last night in Boston....and they didn't show up tonight.

14-5 the shots in that period. 26-16 after two.

14-5 the shots in that period. 26-16 after two. Our big guns have taken the night off. Should have lots of energy for the third period. I'm still not convinced we're a legit 1st place team/contender. Bergevin must be shaking his head. I know hockey's a game of bounces and mistakes....but it's also a game of effort...and there's been very little of that tonight.

Anyone else notice the Ranger wrap his stick/arm around Subban as he went around the Rangers' net?
That used to be an automatic 2:00.
Not for the embellishers.

Feel bad for Toker. Boys should be embarrassed. No one, and I mean no one, has showed up tonight, and some have been awful. What the heck is Emeiln thinking?
No jump. no thought. no care. I guess they all have their eyes on the week off. Probably going to stay in the big apple for a few days and party.

They're not playing *that* badly, but there are definitely some poor decisions with the puck.

On some of those shots of the Moms in the stands Desharnais' mother looks taller than he does.

Bergevin must be shaking his head. well if nothing else we know he's not shy to make a deal. addendum: a deal that is for a purpose/works. You'd think they'd be playing their "Gee I'd really like to stay" butts off every night, knowing that Bergevin is always looking to improve. I don't expect to go 82-0-0....but I despise losses like these. And they've all been like this. At this point, we've been outscored 28-3 in our (what will be) 6 regulation losses.

I hope we don't have to play them again this post season. Au contraire. I do want to play them. With Carey in goal first of all, and preferably Kreider recovering from some injury, but that's not a prerequisite. Give us our normal legs and an intimidating goalie and we'll sweep them. All the goals featured mental mistakes. Both Tokes and Galchy on the first. Gilbert gave away the puck easily in teh neutreal zone on the 2nd and then the DD line had atrociious zone coverage. Emelin doesn't come back hard on the third. If he does, St. Louis doesn't get a sniff. All were situations we don't normally put ourselves in. And I haven't given up yet, though the legs don't look like they're there tonight. If we lose, let the Rangers enjoy this, getting a terribly misinformed idea of how we'll look in the playoffs.

Back to backs & 6 games in 9 days is a factor IMO. They haven't had more than one day off since the 11th.

DD and Max didn't play very well last night.
I was hoping they'd turn it up tonight.
Nothing. They're both -2. Stepan was left unchecked on his goal early in the second....and Max was in the vicinity, skating by watching St. Louis's pass, instead of looking behind him.

Yup, I'd cut them some slack for tonight. It's not they play like this every game, and theyve certainly bounced back after bad games.

DD and Max didn't play very well last night. I was hoping they'd turn it up tonight. Nothing. I think Patches has had a good game. I think, though, that someone needs to take DD aside and tell him if he doesn't get a oombination of 3 assists or shots per game, his ice time gets cut. If he wants to continue passing all the time, he'd better be putting up points....or he can shoot a bit more. At least once today, he went at guys on a 3 on 2 and if he'd faked the pass, the seas would have parted and he'd be in. But they play the pass ALL the time and he complies. The puck turned over on that play because the d's anticipated the pass and blocked it. Just vary it a little, David, and you'll really thrown them off.
