There are a lot of issues I can see with those comparisons, Skilly. To take just one, the difference between regular season and playoff scoring, lets look at Tampa. Goals for - 3.16 during the regular season, 2.5 in the playoffs. I suspect that would be true of every team..

Goals for - 3.16 during the regular season, 2.5 in the playoffs. I suspect that would be true of every team.. Sure the output drops in the playoffs, but that only highlights why we need a pure scorer more ... I never like the arguement that other teams struggle, so let's give our guys a pass for struggling. We were 20 out of 30 in the regular season, and 13 out of 16 in the playoffs. The three teams behind us didn't make it out of the first round. 2.08 goals a game (playoffs) is not going to cut it, even if Tampa is scoring "only" 2.5. Three teams managed to increase their production in the playoffs from the regular season (Anaheim, Nashville, and Chicago) so it is possible.

Uuu, bad news. Pacioretty is essential. September is important too.
I hope he recovers earlier than anticipated.

In the "For what it's worth" category, TVA is reporting that Pacioretty is training "five times a week". MAX S’ENTRAÎNE CINQ JOURS PAR SEMAINENothing else major to report in the article, and I'm not sure I would call that major. But still.
