The Adventures of Robin Hood (1938) - Howard Hill, who is listed in the credits as "Captain of Archers", also played "Elwyn the Welshman" in the archery contest. Hill actually made the shot where we see one arrow split another and he did all the shots which required hitting human targets. He also worked closely with the sound department to produce the distinctive arrow sounds by using specially made arrows (IMDB.com).

As the first Canadian to summit Everest Laurie Skreslet (born in Calgary on October 25, 1949) achieved an historic hallmark, which will be with him the rest of his life. As a member of a team of 21 Canadian mountaineers, led by William Joseph March, Skreslet summited via the traditional South East Col. Route on October 5, 1982. The Canadian expedition had been 5 years in planning, and required $3 million to fund, and 27 tons of equipment to outfit. "Fear of the unknown keeps many people from achieving greatness in uncharted territory", -- Laurie Skreslet

For decades after World War I, some authors questioned whether Richthofen had achieved 80 victories, insisting that his record was exaggerated for propaganda purposes. Some claimed that he took credit for aircraft downed by his squadron or wing. In fact, Richthofen's victories are unusually well documented. A full list of the aircraft the Red Baron was credited with shooting down was published as early as 1958[61]—with documented RFC/RAF squadron details, aircraft serial numbers, and the identities of Allied airmen killed or captured—73 of the 80 listed match recorded British losses. A study conducted by British historian Norman Franks with two colleagues, published in Under the Guns of the Red Baron in 1998, reached the same conclusion about the high degree of accuracy of Richthofen's claimed victories. There were also unconfirmed victories that would put his actual total as high as 100 or more. Manfred Albrecht Freiherr von Richthofen Richthofen wears the Pour le Mérite, the "Blue Max", Prussia's highest military order, in this official portrait, c. 1917
