As expected Lucic is still the big baby that he always was but now out west he's not the big fish in a small pond. Guys can hit and take care of themselves. Nice to see the Kings get pumped by the Sharks. Big baby Lucy

Not sure where they found pims for Couture on that play. I absolutely love that he was laughing (essentially at Lucic). Gonna be a long year for Lucy.

Distraction the Bruins don't need. Too bad. I'll miss him losing his head.

This also happened last night. Brown, with a ridiculous hit, leading with the head.
If he's in the NFL, there's a major penalty for that, and he's looking at missing games.

I am tired off all the offsetting penalties. Lucic goes after Couture and Logan defends himself and by doing so gets a penalty...No matter how it is calculated Lucic should get extra minutes.
The same kind of play happened last night in the Habs game. PK gets hit from behind but somehow in the scrum we are the only one to take a penalty making it offset. Komarov should of got a 2 for roughing + and another 2 or 5 for boarding.

Amazing that despite being the bonehead that he is, Milan still gets away with a ton of crap. Were that PK, this'd be a different story.

The aggressor should always get the extra 2, but it seems some numbskull in NHL HO (fits pretty well anyone's description there) decided that's the way to put a stop to it....penalize both. That's two examples already of how dumb that is.

Were that PK, this'd be a different story. Or Brendan Gallagher ... Gally received a penalty for being pushed into Jonathan Bernier last night ... the Milan Lucic story is one of the leads on the TSN website ... coming from the Bruins, I can understand the there-must-be-a-response mindset ... however, while I didn't see the game, it looked as if the Kings had Logan Couture in their sights all night ... first Dustin Brown gets away with a hit to the chops and then Lucic decides to target Couture right after a clean hit ... Brown has always been feisty but now he has Lucic patrolling the ice ... will be interesting to see how 'brave' the Kings become all of a sudden (or if they do) ... Cheers.

NHL.com only shows the match penalty to Lucic at 18:41 of the 3rd. I think the refs got it right on that play and the announcer in the link just called it wrong. I do agree that the Komarov offsetting penalty was bogus, though.

The Komarov nonsense just proves that it's still open season on Subban.
Lucic remains the biggest suck in the league when it comes to being hit cleanly.
He might get 1 game because of the match penalty....but that's a joke, too.
Unfortunate....heat-of-the-moment....

Not sure what happened with Lucic. Did playing with the Bruins do him a disservice in the long term I wonder? I was a big fan of his when he played with the Giants and hoped the Habs would draft him. Players usually gain maturity as they age and play smarter. It doesn't appear to be the case with him. If anything, I think of the word petulance rather than truculence when I think of Milan Lucic. A shame really.

Good word, duster. A petulant player who has been given far too much leniency by the league over the years.
Maybe now that he's off Jacobs's team, he'll get what's coming to him.
