Looked bleak after going down 0-3 early.
Couple of quick ones and it was an interesting 3rd period.
Desharnais with an underrated shot. He wins it.

Left the game after 3-0. You're welcome! Nice job, boys! Gotta be considered a fail for Vancouver, though….you just can't blow a 3-0 lead in this league. They're talking post-game on TSN690 that the 3rd period penalty by Semin just may have sealed his fate…considering the type of penalty, one goal behind in comeback mode, and the short leash. Can't wait to see the highlights…

Tuned in after the Eller SH goal but they controlled the game from that point. Great effort, lots of heads up play, and Gallagher is lightning fast out there. His intensity and work ethic really is off the charts. He's Team Canada material, IMO.

That was probably the best two periods of hockey our club has played in a while ... after the first period they did a great job keeping the scoring chances down ... only 15 SOG on Condon after the first ... very nice comeback ... well-earned ...
Cheers.

I'll have you all know I turned the game on at 0-3 just prior to Eller's goal. So you're all welcome for my contribution to the comeback. Thought they played very well after that. Markstrom with some great saves. The Canucks are a woeful 0-6 in OT this year. Good.

They turned a switch on after that shorty. I was tempted, but glad I stuck with the game. Much better effort from that point onwards. Have to feel good for Condon, as he likely wanted to bounce back after a number of shaky periods.

It looks like a team effort on HabsRus. I left at 3-0. Came back briefly after it was 3-1, but nothing's was happening so I turned it off again until it was all over.
Nucks are a bad team this year. Are we going to be the only Cdn team in the playoffs?
I obviously missed the better part of our play and was totally unimpressed to that point. It doesn't make me feel much better to squeak by the Canucks. Oh well. Two more points.

Despite the score I thought we outplayed them in the first. We dominated the last 2 periods. I thought Markstrom should have been a star even though he gave up 4 goals.
How was PK not a star. I know "He's no Bobby Orr" but that is because Bobby Orr never played so well. He only had the one assist on the OT winner but he dominated every shift at both ends of the rink. I give him credit as after last game he acknowledged he and others played poorly. He showed leadership tonight. Max was better tonight but by no means leading.
I think it is the end for Semin. I don't believe he played a shift after that lazy and dumb penalty. Just as well we move on and find a legit top 6.
Once again Chucky showed well just not on the scoreboard. I do have to ask once again, what is MT (and perhaps MB) thinking? Why would put your prize possession, a young extremely talented player who is learning to play centre between a winger who is learning to play wing (and struggling for 20 games now) and a washed up player who never really had a work ethic or an understanding of the defensive aspects of the game? The concept itself is moronic. It's almost as if management wants Chucky to fail so they can say we told you he is not a centre. I don't like MT, and i think he is a dolt. To persist with this strategy shows how truly clueless MT is.

Are we going to be the only Cdn team in the playoffs? haven't you heard? it started slowly for the Leafs, but now they are contenders. the only thing missing is a goalie, a defense, and a first, second, and thiid line. I really didn't think the Habs had it in them. I had PiP going and for a while was focusing more on another game. at 3-2 the Habs game took precedence, though I was still pessimistic. went from "what a waste of a night off" to "wow . . . we're going to get a point out of it" to "yes! no shoot-out!". and "start the car" was the proper response after the first period. dominant or not, it doesn't count if you don't score.

I was almost ( almost!) happy down 3-0. the way things were going lately was proving the point that MB should "relieve MT of his duties" (I love the was we couch words when we really want to say can his you-know-what). alas, a come-back like that makes MT look like a genius, and we have him for a bit longer. (yup, still wavering between "I can't believe that he's got the Habs where they are" and "someone else could take them to the next level).

They definitely had a rough first period. Petry in particular looked like he forgot the game had started and that other team was actually playing for reals man, for reals. But kudos to either Michel Therrien or the leadership core for making them get their act together after the first, because they were a much better team in the second and third. As mentioned, Markstrom probably should have gotten a star.
I think that's the end of Semin. Another zero shot effort (albeit in very limited minutes) and another bad penalty. Never mind the bench, he might be on The Rock soon. He's just sooooo slow now... I wonder where Kassian is in his rehab?
Nice bounce-back game from Condon. He wasn't great, but he made the saves he had to make, for the most part, and didn't allow the back-breaker while the comeback was on. He wasn't super-tested mind you, but he did what he had to do. Hopefully a confidence-restorer for him.

Mike Condon is 7-1-2 this year and the club is 5-1-2 since Carey Price went down ... enjoyed watching that comeback ... Cheers.

I'm happy they beat the Canucks... I am happy when the Habs beat any western Canadian team.
Semin is history, MT is not a forgiving coach.
Glad to see Larry pot a shorty and get the team going. It was also great to see Max acknowledge it is the post game interview. Larry has a good shot, he needs to shoot more and become a winger and let Chucky be the centre and control the puck.

Good character win ....no doubt this team has a ton of character but they still lack the talent to win the cup MB has to find another scorer and on top of that get MT Head to wake up and play his hopefully future star centre more than 13 minutes.....this is getting laughable and I hope we don't ruin the kid.

HFTO Ya. 13 minutes, and most of it with a washed up winger on one side and on the other a centre who is still learning to be a winger and may never learn. Gee, that sounds like a recipe for success. And Larry finally makes a great play scoring a beauty and it's when he's playing centre on the pk. MT loves forcing the square pegs into those round holes and persists despite the headaches he causes to the pegs, the holes, and everyone who watches this travesty.

The Eller/Galchenyuk line is still a mystery. Love their possession game, speed, and puck skills.... it's like they do everything you want except score. With Eller we have all questioned his offensive instincts, and maybe Doc is right that he should focus on driving to the net and playing a simple game. But it's not how he's wired and you can see he plays better with the puck on his stick.
I still think it's possible that Galchenyuk should be on the wing and Eller at centre. Nobody on that line is producing, but I think Galchenyuk is a more natural finisher than Eller. Do whatever with Semin, but we really need to get more production out of the Eller/Galchenyuk combination. I'm just not sure which of those two is playing out of position.

I was listening to Pierre McGuire very briefly yesterday (the car radio goes in/out depending where I am in town) and he suggested that Marc Bergevin has no option but to secure a winger to play with Lars Eller and Alex Galchenyuk ... if there isn't one in the system, then he has to make a deal ... easier said that done, though ... first, you have to have a dance partner and secondly that dance partner has to have a player you need ... BC mentioned how good of a season Jerome Iginla is having and I think he'd be an excellent fit ... imagine a veteran goal-scorer showing Galchenyuk the ropes ... and Eller, for that matter ... all that said, I think he'll try to add a winger before the trade deadline ... I'd be looking over the bottom-of-the-pile teams ... how much would Jordan Eberle cost ... will the Avalanche remain at the bottom of their division ... unless there's a major turnaround this season both Columbus and Carolina look like they might not be going anywhere ... those are only some of the teams I'd look at, but as you know, I'm not Bergevin ... Cheers.

Why does there have to be a Eller/Galchenyuk combination? Don't see the Max/Pleks connection lighting things up. Having said that I would certainly give BGal a look with Larry and Chuck. They've worked before (who doesn't work with BGal?). It should be a lot easier to find a winger to go with Max/Pleks, maybe even Semin.

It would give Chucky some real linemates and also get him out of the third line ice time rut that MT is giving him.

Well, as Mattais pointed out, Max Pacioretty has 6 points in his last 5 games ... breaking them up now might disrupt the chemistry they've just recently found again ... like NWTHF, I'd be fine with giving Bud Holloway a shot ... the club has zero to lose ... Cheers.
