Yeah, Stars tighten up the defense a lot of since last season. And Montreal cannot score against any goalie in the league right now. So two goals should ice this one (now three makes it highly likely they win a laugher).

Second straight shut out might induce Berg into doing something other than showcasing our lesser light AHLers

Bergevin modus operandi is risk aversion. He does not move core (and I do not just mean elite) guys. The only thing I see him doing is acquiring a veteran goalie because it will not cost much and it pretty obvious Condon and Tokarski are not good enough to outplay the evening's rival even if the Habs are supposedly outplaying many opponents this month.

In their zone almost the entire time this period.
Great response, boys.

It's unwise to make decisions when you're slumping, but this looks to be more than that. I'd like to think Therrien's running out of time, but I don't know if a coaching change will really help things right now. The coach can't score.

Not sure what to say about this group almost a complete 360 from their great play the first 20 games ....can the they be this inept offensively?.

That will prevent Berg from doing something. 1 goal shows we're right on the verge

Was that a charge? Or did Petry have his head down?

Top players making big plays. Must be nice.
Our guys float around too much waiting for it to happen, rather than making it happen.
That's not a penalty.

Party at the house tonight….
Came upstairs to check the score, expecting 3-0 Dallas.
I was close.
4-1.

I'm surprised Condon is still in. You can't win if your goalie is shooting .800

Welp.
Fell behind the 8 ball early. Two posts in the first. Hemmed in their own zone in the 2nd.
Curious if there's going to be a rock bottom at this point. Can't score, can't defend.

Are they playing hard, or giving up? Frustration is settling in. A bad start to the 2nd--two goals in 90 seconds. That'll do any slumping team in. I'm not convinced a coaching change will help, but I wonder if Marc is considering one.

There's no doubt losing your best player and maybe the most important player in the world, will hurt a team. This one's not recovering very well. Which is also an indictment of the 'leaders' on the team. Harsh, but hard to refute. Would be nice to get some goaltending before passing judgement. MT is seeing both sides now. Saved so often last year, punished so often this year. .

If any two guys could have used an enthusiasm shot in arm it would have been Pacioretty and Plekanec. But Therrien figured sure let's play a centre who wants to play centre on their wing and who has no chemistry with Pacioretty up there instead.
Well, if there is anything McCarron will learn within a game or two, there are no set lines. The juggler could not help himself when the team was 9-1 so obviously now it is period to period.

Leafs up 2-0 on the Kings in the third. Kings started Enroth. Leafs will pick up points because the opposition rests their #1 against them. Come on, Habs! WTF?
