How much of this actually Melnyck insisting on Crawford and not Boucher choosing him, is so that shows two desperate coaches wanting back in the league but how long before they are looking over their shoulders? Also we read a lot of posts about the Canadiens having to have a French coach when there are better candidates out there but Ottawa must have thought this was the best

This is slightly off topic, but I'm really interested to see how Bishop does next year, when he doesn't look so 'big'. Athleticism and reading the play will take on larger roles than simply being a Michelin man. It'll be fun!

All 3 would probably have been unsuccessful candidates if our coaching position was open, but they would all have been candidates.

All 3 would probably have been unsuccessful candidates if our coaching position was open, but they would all have been candidates. Looks like Groulx went to Syracuse, Tampa's AHL affiliate. Ottawa still gets plan A and B. We still have plan Q, R, W and Y in Montreal and St. John's. Berg's Achilles heel IMO.

So Yzerman nabs Groulx, (just in case Cooper doesn't win the Cup this year).
