Interesting choice. After being fired in Washington has he had a job in hockey? I guess that Martin Erat trade for Filip Forsberg was still following him around.  |

It was supposedly a choice between McPhee and Don Maloney. I would have picked Maloney hands down, but then I'm just an outside observer who puts a lot of weight on what a guy did with what he had.

McPhee's resume would no doubt be stronger had Halak not stymied his Caps in 2010.
That was a powerhouse.
