He's a long shot, though. Twenty years old and barely managing a ppg in the CHL.

He's a long shot, though. Twenty years old and barely managing a ppg in the CHL. Perhaps. I think we have to start looking at junior players the same way we look at NHlers when it comes to points. Of the 3, the WHL has always been the league that's harder to score in. Wayne Simmonds wasn't a ppg player til the year he turned 20. I'm not saying Bradley is a Simmonds type of player. Just trying to offer some perspective. If he could turn into a legit third line center; a Mike Richards type. That wouldn't be a bad thing.

He's a long shot, though. Twenty years old and barely managing a ppg in the CHL. A lot of our prospects are long shots. I like that he has some scoring wherewithal in a tough league, but he also is not just a one dimensional guy. His effort and style of play likely can be adapted into something other than just a top six scoring forward at a higher level. He may never be more than a serviceable AHLer. Heck, he may not even get a contract with us. However, he is showing more than you would come to expect from a fifth rounder. The reality is that due to managing the 50 NHL contract limit, a number of our drafted guys will not get entry level deals and some of the RFAs will not get qualifying offers. I am not even sure Bradley has what it takes to be a difference maker at the next level, but I did get some folks talking about a few of the non-first rounders!!

A few Bradley highlights of late. He is now up to a 13 game point streak, including a great 2+2 game on Saturday (his last game).

In his first game back since January 21 due to injury, Windsor Spitfire forward (and Sergachev's team mate) Jeremiah Addison had a successful return. Two nice goals and an assist. The goals showed some nice moves down low and a nice wrister. One point a game pace for a 20 year old is not earth shattering, but he does lead his team in goals and he was a seventh rounder!! To sign or not to sign, that is the question.

After a sluggish start, Sergachev is up to nearly a ppg pace. There are a bunch of clips in the thread below, if you're interested. He can skate the puck out, he can slap it as good as some of the best pros, and his wrist shot is nothing to sneeze at either. Lots of reasons to keep this kid. hfboards.hockeysfuture.com/showthread.php?p=128269489#post128269489

Prospect on TV this upcoming weekend. This is the only televised game for the Sudbury Wolves and 6th rounder Michael Pezzetta this season. He currently has 17 points in 42 games, a season cut short twice due to well deserved suspensions for some very undisciplined hits.
Sudbury vs Mississauga - Sunday, Feb 26, 2:00 pm ET on Sportsnet.

Prospects on TV tonight.
Now, around the same time that every Habs fan worth their snuff will be watching PK and his return to Montreal, SSM will be playing against the Windsor Spitfires and the game is on Sportsnet 360 starting at 5:00 pm ET.
Book your PVR's, and get to watch Addison and some guy named Sergachev take on the Greyhounds.
And if you cannot get enough of our prospects, watch Sportsnet on Saturday at 4:00 pm ET as Windsor and London clash. Big battle with three prospects: Sergachev, Addison and Mete.
Book it Dano!!

Thanks NWT. I want to see how Sergachev looks now, well into the season.

Thanks NWT. I want to see how Sergachev looks now, well into the season. Highlights and discussions I've seen is that he's only gotten better as the season wore on. He had the typical funk in the Fall that kids suffer when they go back from their NHL teams. There's some video up on HF in his prospect profile thread. He can rush end to end, he can set up plays, he can shoot by creating his own shot or from a pass. He'll likely have work to do on positional play in his own end, but that's the teachable stuff.

Yeah, that lines up with everything I have read or seen. Good to see him bounce back to his expected level of performance. It will be great catching a couple of his games over the next few days and the Spits will be on TV more in the playoffs (more than likely) and in the Memorial Cup for sure as hosts.

This was as of around February 19th, if you put faith in analytics. Some context, with fellow draft class member Juolevi.

Here he is, end to end. Keep in mind, he's 6'2 and change and roughly 220lbs.

Examples of his ability to enter the zone ...
Evading the forecheck, exiting the zone, entering the zone, and distribution for a scoring chance.
It's not just about the slapper ... he's got hands, and can evade with his back against the blue line.
In 41 games, he's got 9 goals and 38 points. He's also +22. Victor Mete has 37 points and +32.

Prospect on TV - Thursday Night
As the CHL regular season winds down, there is one last regular season broadcast that involves a Habs prospect. Victor Mete and the London Knights face off against the Guelph Storm tomorrow night at 7:00 pm ET on Sportsnet 360.

CHL playoffs are just around the corner as leagues are close to wrapping up. Things look good for our prospects to at least to see some playoff action, with some with some promise of a good run.
In the QMJHL, Simon Bourque was traded from Rimouski to Saint John. He not only went from a weak team to a playoff team, but to the top team in the league.
In the west, both Everett and Medicine Hat have clinched. Matt Bradley and the Tigers are on a roll and boast the second best record in the league, just behind Regina. Juulsen and the Tips sit in second spot in the tight US division and have their playoff spot booked.
In Ontario, all but one of our prospects are in the insanely tough Western Conference, that boasts the top five teams in the league. They also are all playoff bound on three of those top five teams: McNiven and Owen Sound, Mete and London, and Sergachev/Addison and Windsor. The first round matchups will be tough, and some good teams will be going down early. Pezzetta and Sudbury have not yet clinched in the much weaker Eastern conference, but should. Ho hum on both.
Of course with Windsor hosting the Memorial Cup, two guys will be playing in May. Will any more? Also, both Addison and Bradley are playing for contracts and must be signed by June 1st. I watched Bradley live last night, and he was his solid unspectacular self. He seems to always be engaged, and every now and then has an incredible game. He gets lots of special team time, on the top PK group and on the point on the second PP unit. His assist on the PP last night showed great vision.

Everywhere I look, Noah is listed at 190lbs still. He looked a fair bit bigger than that at the WJC. If he's not knocking on 210 (as a season opening weight) I'd be shocked.

It is another case of a really stacked conference where almost all of the top OHL teams are all lined up against each other to start the playoffs. A bunch of good teams will go down early. I expect this will be a doozy of a first round series.
