MT confirmed last night that Montoya gets the start. We shall see if the boys back up their claim that they owe him one from the Columbus game.

MT confirmed last night that Montoya gets the start. We shall see if the boys back up their claim that they owe him one from the Columbus game. They owe him big time ... great effort against Detroit last night and they'll need another great effort tonight ... Cheers.

Hanley stays in, Pateryn stays out.

Even if it's a close, relatively low-scoring loss, the boys will have:
1. done their teammate a good turn...and... 2. not lost any points to an Eastern competitor.
I really don't know how much better this team can play than it's shown the past two games.
I suppose if Max, Pleks, and Gallagher get back to their usual scoring pace....that would certainly be a boost.

They've been a tad slower than the Hawks so far but only just got their first chance

We're puck-watching...as opposed to the past two games.
When the Hawks get possession in our end, it often looks like a PP.

How come everybody seems to score their first NHL goal against us?

Montoya lost his stick just before that goal. Was he interfered with?

Blackhawks have had some giveaways thus far. Gotta take advantage of that...

That's two huge glove saves by Crawford this period.

Pacioretty got hit with that shot. Ouch. He's had a good period.

I would have waited until Tuesday to play Montoya, that would have given Price 6 days off

Weber's centering pass goes off a Hawks d-man. Tie game.
