Why do I see a loss on the horizon?

Why do I see a loss on the horizon? Because there are three in the rear view mirror and the Leafs will play us tough. Even with Carey, this is a long way from an easy game.

Puck has been bouncing in odd ways the past few games. That and some lazy play in their own end.
Tempted to skip this game tomorrow, or in the least not watch it on HNIC...

I suppose given their past it can only be promising. Since the expansion of the Original Six I believe they have the worst record in the league - and one playoff appearance in the last decade. Pretty pathetic. But hey, they are "Canada's Team". Boy what an embarrassment.

I'm lighting a few candles for a complete blowout. Too much future parade planning from Laff land. That had to be snuffed out...with prejudice.

If we don't come out of the gate like we did vs. the Kings and Red Wings....I doubt Price will be able to save our bacon tonight. Especially if Radulov isn't back.
Toronto's really explosive up front. Babcock is coaching to their strengths, for sure.
Like to see a couple of Emelin/Weber specials on some key Leafs....that might calm them down....ha!

The Hughson and company love fest will be over the top for sure. In the limited time I have watched the Leafs Marner looks like the best of the 3 young forwards. I wonder what they will say about Matthews. After 4 goals in his 1st NHL game he has just 2 goals & 8 points in his next 16 games & is a -4.

They've had some high scoring games in the last week but their goal differential is still a -2. Was a little surprised by that.

d is very exploitable. if the Habs decide to skate and exploit it. That's the key, franko. Do Max and Pleks decide to join in tonight? Shaw is showing a ton more "into it" than either of them. I don't expect them to be "Shaw-like"....I just mean Shaw's been playing at, or near, his best for us.

Yeah, Shaw was really tentative after his chat with Quintal and Bergevin. It took him a while to ease back into his game. He is a lot more noticeable right now, and for good reasons unlike the pre-season and periods in the past.
Pleks and Max can show up soon. Would be great if both did, but that would take all the planets to align, for Youppi to walk thirteen times counter clockwise around the Bell Centre, and for MT to wear his lucky Las Vegas boxer shorts tonight. Where did the Leafs put those pyramids when they closed that old barn?

25 mins and sportsnet/cbc has said zero about Montreal....10 minutes of Mathews, Marner, and Kadri and 5 minutes of Jamie Benn...now onto Scheiffle..

Radulov back in on his line with Chucky and Byron. Hudon on second with Pleks and Gally. DD centring the top line with Patch and Shaw. Mitchell with Terry and the other DD (demoted Danault). Hanley in for Pateryn. That Price fella in net.

Hope Radulov isn't feeling any rust. I can't imagine your first game back after battling an illness will be all that dominant.

So DD is back centering the top line according to Hughson.
I thought Patches was dropped to the third line, but whatever.

Didn't that puck touch a Leaf going off? It did ... But before we blame the refs, they also let a glove hand pass by the Habs go at the red line, and that's why it went towards the bench

Beaulieu just had to pass to Emelin , a wide open Emelin, but tried to make a hero pass to the opposite corner ... Play goes up the ice, and Kadri gets a penalty for bumping Price. To which Hughson says "You can't tug on Superman's cape" .... What a maroon!
