Norfolk Admirals' Anthony Calbrese pushed from behind by Atlanta Gladiators' Tyler Murovich. Headfirst into the boards....broken C1 and C7 vertebrae. 12 games. Brutal! Good thing Calabrese wasn't paralyzed or killed. Murovich would've gotten 20 games! Note the callous way in which Murovich skates away, gesturing, "Get lost! I didn't do anything wrong..." The descriptive comment for the video starts with the classic line: VERY UNFORTUNATE PLAY..... Where have we heard THAT before? At least Murovich got more punishment than Chara received....which doesn't say much. And what's with the Admiral players with basically no response, other than their goalie with a mild slash and one other brief confrontation.

I saw this on twitter a week or so ago. Victim is thankfully communicating with the public through social media. It's going to take someone dying on the ice, and even then I'm not sure anything comes of it.
In the game where Hall hits Larsen of the Canucks, there was a play where a Canucks player gave a little shove to the small of the back of Zajac (I believe) at the goal line, half way between the net and the corner. Travis' balance was already compromised, and he fell to his knees. As he slid towards the end boards he tried to get up to defend himself. He went in with enough speed that he smashed his face against the edge of the dasher.
Coy, dirty, plays like that irk me. There's no need for the cross check, no matter how subtle, to the small of the back unless you're trying to send the player into the end boards. Simple as that. Murovich should be gone for the year. Upon his return, ANY infraction that draws a suspension and he should be banned from the league.

Murovich is 27, and stuck in the ECHL.....a career minor-leaguer.
I see he played 18 games with the Hamilton Bulldogs in 2012-13. Gallagher, Beaulieu, and Pateryn might recall him.
I don't know how he got into Montreal's system....as Atlanta/Gwinnett was a Coyote affiliate in 2012-13.

Someone should have used their stick like an axe and chopped the guys head off... what an asshole.
