Better skating school. What would Brian Boitano do if he was here right now? He'd probably kick an ass or two! That's what Brian Boitano'd do!

I suggest we hire Catriona Lemay Doan to teach him, then me. 17 - What exactly do you want her to teach you? Anything she wants. But I thought we could start with Philosophy.

Just reviewed the rankings and the Central Scouting Bureau had Guillaume listed as the 52nd best North American skater, not including goaltenders, or Europeans. Maybe picking him at 45 wasn't the outstanding good fortune I originally thought. I still like the pick, but I'm not sure it was a steal. Anybody know why the CSB had him ranked so low? Skating??

Lousy scouting? I second that. Latendresse has great size and tremendous hands. If he had the skating to go with that, he'd have been second to go, right after Sidney Crosby. Skating can always be improved. There is a plateau, although I'm excited to have a potential power forward with the Habs.

Poor first step, decent speed once he gets going. He can work on that, in fact, Bobby Ryan has to work on the same thing. Most scouting sites and mocks had him going mid-first. CSS has been notoriously harsh on Latendresse since day one, despite his success against his peers in the Q, at the international level, and in the Top Prospects/Russia challenge exhibitions games. I still chalk it up to steal.

Latendresse has also been invited to evaluation camp for National Jr team (along with Price and Chipchura). CSB probably has underrated him.
