His speed stood out to me in previous clips. His work ethic stands out in this one. Lots of examples of relentless work.

Kesler's not a bad comparison. He doesn't have the edge that Kesler has, but his IQ is right up there.

If he keeps this up, his work ethic and defensive awareness will get him into the NHL. How his offensive game develops will determine in what type of role.
I am always hesitant to over-hype a prospect that is so recently drafted, but he does tick a lot of good boxes for me. I really wanted the super skilled Finnish winger Tolvanen when we were up to pick, but I really understand this pick. He was one of the top ranked guys still available when we picked, so not a stretch at all.

Evans. Another game, three more apples.
Leads the NCAA in scoring by one point, but has played a bit more than some. He is a playmaker, and has four more assists than the next closest.

Good to hear on Evans. Didn't know how he would respond this season as ND lost 2 key players from last year. But Evans is leading the league in scoring. Any updates on Bitten? I see where he will be playing in Russian series

He needs to use his speed to be effective. He was asked to play more of a defensive role last year, so that helped built tha5 part of his game. Yeah, Evans lost some depth on his team. They are young. Even more impressive.

For the last number of years, TSN usually announces its TV schedule for NCAA hockey coverage around this time of year. I hope they do the same this year, as it is one of the easier ways for fans in Canada to catch any college hockey.

Cale Fleury is now up to 8 points (5-3) in 12 games. He scored two goals on Sunday in a 5-4 win over Red Deer, including the GWG. He's also at -1 for the season, which isn't bad given the strength of the team.

He has 6 points in his last four games, including four goals from the blueline.

Lukas Vejdemo scored his fifth goal last night and followed up with his fifth assist today. He now has 10 points, two more than in the whole season last year. He is getting lots of ice time and is playing well and making the most of it.

He is getting lots of ice time and is playing well and making the most of it. He certainly has changed his offensive game...like to see him keep it up. He always had size, skating, speed, smarts, and two way game. I thought he was another DLR there once....hope I was wrong.

His offensive numbers, ice time, and confidence all seemed to plummet, so it is nice to see a rebound season so far. He still is only 21 and quite a bit of an unknown for most fans, so I hope he can continue to develop and maybe we will see him signed and brought over. The Habs still have until the summer of 2019 to make a decision on him. As it stands now, the Habs only have Evans, Bitten and Pezzetta that they need to make decisions on in 2018, so they could look at Lukas next summer if he keeps things going well. Guess I should stream a game or two of his this year to get a better watch on his overall game.

The most improved prospect so far this season has to be Michael Pezzetta. After last year’s forgettable year, I had pretty well written off this kid. His offensive game was non existent and he ended up with a couple of suspensions for some really dumb plays. He is a 19year old centre, drafted in the sixth round and after his two goal game last night, now has 20 points in 18 games. He has one more point than all of last season, and is only 8 points off his career best. He has definitely shifted from the “no way will he get a deal” category to “hmmmm” for me.

Pezzetta was the kid who hammered a Maple Leaf in the prospect tourney before camp? It would be nice if he could be a late bloomer skill wise.
I was bored Friday evening and watched more than half of Evans game against Ohio State. I never held much real expectation for this kid, but he is impressive. I do not think he looks as big as he is listed and he is not a great skater. Also I wonder if his skill translates in an environment with more friction and pressure; I admit I do not hold NCAA hockey in high regard. But I hope Montreal values him and makes him feel like playing with Laval Rocket would be a good opportunity.

Just gonna put this year. Maxime Fortier, invited to the last 2 Habs development camps, has signed as an undrafted UFA with the Jackets. It's a 3 year ELC for max money. He's got 27 points in 19 games as an overager in Halifax. Happy for Maxime. He's a talented kid.
