Quite surprised that this thread has no replies until now... Not saying that there wouldn't be room for criticism, but it's dead here. Hudon, I have my hopes so high on him as well as Lehkonen completely breaking out.

The deadness might be a symptom of the excitement around the team this year. I’m having trouble being excited about 3 less than mobile defensemen and the strange use of Galchenyuk. To use ‘more responsible’ players in the top 9 simply guaranteees that when you need a goal in the playoffs, you can hope Carey stops the next 60 shots.

The deadness might be a symptom of the excitement around the team this year. might be? talk about understatement! when McGuire is on side with "the strange use" -- ie, when McGuire agrees with us -- you know there's trouble a'brewin'. on 690 today (take it fwiw) he mentioned that that teams were calling on the Habs for Galchy this summer but that the offers were low, and that the first thing the team that gets him will do is turn him into a centre.

Price needs to step up tonight....defense is getting better but not quite there yet. The offense is starting to produce, young guns are maturing.

I watch every game no matter what it's been part of my DNA since I was a kid ...be it scrounging to pick up any game on a.m. Radio or settle for a the French broadcast that was available on radio in TO back in the day. It's been 35 years since the dynasty years and 25 since the last cup they are killing me and my enthusiasm....it's become a joke with no end in sight!....I'll go down with the ship bit I s tough to wave the flag .

It is a few things like other community members say --losing to the Rangers, making the team worse over the summer, looking lost through camp, stumbling out of gate in October.
There is just not much positive vibe about this team or the organization's direction for that matter.

Tuned in just now...
2-0 Wild.
Was Carey Price-check at work on either or both?

Both. He looks lost out there Team not much better this d-corps is ridiculously bad I call him Price-check, because that's what you ask for when you're not sure of price. If his play continues in this vein, I'll have to call him Cash-n-Carey... WTH??? I know he might not be thrilled with his D...but he's been uncharacteristically poor....although he has played like this in his younger years...

Something is wrong with Carey for sure. He is not tracking the puck at all.

At least with all that abundance of character, they’ll fight their way to a 9-0 loss.
This is depressing. Thanks Marc.

Alzner with a clearing opportunity gives it right to the point man. $4.6mm.

I don't know if Price had a chance on the third goal or not. The Wild player held onto the puck a long time before passing it over. The other player stayed wide so he'd have a better angle.
Not that it really matters with this bunch...what happened to cause the long 2-on-1 in the first place? I don't have PVR.

Yeah not much chance on the 3rd. I missed the first 2, but suspect the 2nd unassisted goal 10 seconds after the first was probably a bad one.

In addition to playing behind a really bad defense, something is wrong with Price. I know the men between the pipes are a breed apart and they go through games or even weeks where the technique is off, but this feels strange.
Price looks like belief is in short supply. Maybe after this road trip Molson needs to reach out to him (without informing anyone else in the organization that he is doing so) and hear whatever Carey may need to say.

On TSN690, Sergio Momesso said he was speaking with Berg...and that the GM was not happy. Saying that was a terrible period...lack of concentration.
Maybe they left the answer on the bus, instead of bringing it into the room....

You look back on Bergevins decisions in the last 2 years and you really have to wonder. Remember when Eric Stasl was available and we were weak down the middle? Or when Hainsey was available and he signed Alzner instead? I don’t know how available those guys were to us but they’d look pretty good in a Habs uni right now instead of Alzner or McCarron.

I’d bet a lot of real money that whoever trades for Chuck is going to play him at center and not worry about defensive deficiencies.
