From one angle NBC showed, that puck did cross the line. Toronto somehow missed it. No complaints, though. Pittsburgh got away with a fair bit of hacks and trips today. That could have been snow, and not white space, but also this below. Holtby was very smart to block the view of the overhead camera. that's the only true way to tell.

I was waiting for a shift where a 4th line got caught out on the ice and Laviolette made a cagey play to put his second line out when he saw the Jets deploy the 4th line. Up to that point, both teams had matched lines all night. The one time it didn't go to script cost the team that had their 4th line out there. Preds win 5-4 in double OT.

Ridiculous pressure by the Jets to tie the game late. They're such a good team. I was blown away by both teams. Lots of skill on both sides, and highlight quality goals.... So jealous.

It's sickening... not even watching because it burns me watching preds and jets fans cheering their team on and we're here fuming about lost opportunity and disgraceful mismanagement.

Gotta keep in mind that when it comes to the Jets, they've had their fair share of downs and inconsistency. You don't land Ehlers and Laine without it. I also like to keep in mind that they're not overly young either. Wheeler is 31, Stastny 32, Matthias, Little and Perreault are 30. Buff and Enstrom are 33. I'm not going to say their window is small with this group, but it's not huge either. While Scheifele, Laine, and Ehlers are certainly a good core group of forwards to build around, I can see the turnover they're about to face causing some ups and downs year to year.

I should have added that on more than one occasion both Cheveldayoff and Maurice have been on the chopping block only to remain. I'm not saying I wouldn't fire Bergevin and relieve Molson of his President duties. I'm just saying that when things are going as good as they are for the Jets it's easy to forget they're not that far removed from failure and doubt.

That's a super informative video, blny, thank you. I stand corrected. I dont think the white space on the Pittsburgh review was due to parallax view. Wouldn't the puck have to be in the air to see white space below it on a parallax view? That puck was flat on the ice ... It could have been snow, (I don't think it was though). I'm leaning towards not being able to determine the position of the puck at the point they intended to blow the whistle , or they just blew it

Watching Boston Tampa and the bolts on the pp and Sergachev looks so comfortable out there for a 19 year old.... f'n MB.

On the one hand (Montreal) you have a team that experienced success, by having an extraordinarily good goalie and on the other hand you have a team that experienced a lot of failures because of their weak goaltending. Winnipeg’s ownership must have concluded Chevaldayoff was on the right track and didn’t fire him. Geoff Molson also concluded, it seems, that Bergevin is on the right track and took the same non action. The 2 teams look quite different, no?

That said, the Jets haven't won anything yet.

Majority of Jets' fans booing Subban...every time he touches the puck.
Absolutely brutal to hear.
PK scores to make it 2-0 on the PP.....and they even boo his name when announced over the PA.
Unbelievable.
Can someone point out to me what he's done to have incurred this reaction? Other than the fact that's he's an elite player, I mean....because not every elite player gets booed like that. Maybe Marchand in certain rinks...but that's well-earned.

Pretty sure they booed when he played with the Habs. Didn't understand it then either.

Just flipped the channel to see the Pens score two quick ones to go up 2-1 in the second. Grrr.

Jets have two pinball-type goals tonight.
On the 4-3 goal, Connor should've been called for a blatant trip on Ellis.

Wow, how do the Pens give up an odd man rush to Backstrom and Ovechkin with one minute to go in a tie game? Matta really messed up bad there.

How good was that mid-air smack-in of his own rebound by Ovie....4-3 Caps with 1:07 to go.

Pretty sure they booed when he played with the Habs. Didn't understand it then either. Opposing fans always boo great players on the other team. I used to hate Orr and Esposito when I was younger and more volatile. I still hate Lebron James when he plays the Raptors and admire him the rest of the time. It's normal and a compliment. I wish other fans would boo Drouin and Galchenyuk and Weber and Price.

Habs fans boo Crosby. Like the greats, Subban loves playing the villain. He relishes playing the "heel". He knows he's doing his job if you're booing him. Best thing you can do is be quiet. Remarkable swings in that game in Winnipeg last night.

Washington with only 3 shots in the 3rd. Lose 3-1 as Pens add empty netter.

This is a great series. I hope it goes at least six games if not seven. The two model NHL franchises for me right now. Just give the winner of this series the Cup already!! There is also a reason those two home rinks are absolutely crazy right now...they both play amazingly fun and good hockey. I sure hope Molson and Berg are taking good notes. P.S. I have not heard one Jets or Preds fan commenting on the quality of the hot dogs!!!!!
