I think the Sens should trade Stone to the Avs to get their pick back... I don't know if you meant it to be funny but I laughed when I read your post.

So Connor McDavid get a 2 game suspension for his intentional cheapshot and now they are exploring their options... which means an appeal of some sort... But Byron gets 3 games for a far less intentional hit

It kills me that Byron got a longer suspension than that clown.

I'd love to have a GoPro during one of those meetings. Where the decision makers sit around and talk about what to levy. I think by the time they finished we'd be ready o lynch them. I have my doubts that the incident itself plays much of a role in the decision.
When I saw the McDavid play, I saw McDavid ease up and try to go a little lower. There was no intent at all, no push. Ok give him a game because you want to eliminate that tupe of play entirely, but as BC says above, to give a repeat jerk like Gudas 2 games instead of 20 smacks of owner interference. It seems the US owners have a lot more pull than the Canadian ones. (Boston's 2011 SC win, Exhibit A)

Sucks for the Stars ... UBI ... broken right arm while blocking a shot. Having surgery on it, which Dallas hopes will expedite recovery.

Man, I sure hope that Pittsburgh-Columbus game tomorrow does not hand out a loser point.
Carolina plays at home against the Kings, who will be facing the drudgery of a back to back scenario in a season where they could probably care less at this juncture.

Except the Oil pulled out a win and an OT loss. Not too bad without McJesus.

Kane went after Chara after a hit to the head that went uncalled. Did not end well for Kane. Yes, there should have been a penalty on that hit. www.tsn.ca/kane-chara-hit-a-classic-head-shot-1.1264804"I guess if I’m going to be officiated a different way, what am I supposed to do besides defend myself? I’m not going to sit there and take a direct shot to the head.”
Kane was reaching for the puck when Chara delivered the hit, but he believes the Bruins veteran was targeting his head with the hit.
“I watched the replay. It looks like he elevates his shoulder into my head,” Kane said. “I know he’s a big boy. We’ve seen it throughout the league — looks the exact same to me.”

Chara landed one good punch - to the helmet - in that fight. The rest were off the shoulder pad or Kane kept his head just out of reach. He's getting a lot of flack for jumping Z from behind, but kudos to him imo.

With all the mess in regards to Ottawa, is there anyway the NHL can force Melnyck out like the NBA did with the previous Clippers owner? I know the NBA was racism, but there must be some way?

Screw the ape and the whole boston organization... they were masters of jumping people from behind and after whistle cheap shots... people dont like to eat the Saperlipopette they've been serving.

I thought Kane handled himself pretty well & he had a right to be ticked.
The hypocrites in the Bruins media are up in arms, I'm sure.
PS: I wonder how Johansson like playing with Marchand after being cheap shotted & concussed a while back?

Started to watch That's Hockey on TSN tonight. The Leafs are playing the Oilers so of course it brings up the question, who's the best in the game, McDavid or Matthews. I started to gag so I changed the channel. I wonder if Kucherov even got a mention.

According to a players poll (200 players) that appears in The Athletic today the Best All-Around Player" is still Sidney Crosby (48%), followed by McDavid (25%), Bergeron (11%), Barkov (4%) and Kucherov (4%). Matthews doesn't appear on the list. Same poll had Carey Price as the goalie most players wanted as their starter for a Stanley Cup Game 7 (28%), followed by Fleury (16%), Vasilevskiy (15%), Quick (7%) and Holtby (6%). Also had PK Subban as the most overrated (23%) followed by Patrick Laine at a distant second (9%). Montreal finished second in the Best Fans category (18%), after Vegas (28%).

Watched the entire Toronto/Long Island game and I didn't expect the Leafs to get dominated like that ... one of the best games I've seen all year ... Cheers.

Yeah, Toronto was spanked on Long Island.
Boston continues to defy gravity without Pastrnak, taking down the Lightning no less.
Partidazo tonight in Columbus. Flyers laying it on the line as though they were still actually fighting for something (ojo, the boys need to expect the same from the Rangers). The Blue Jackets looked tight for stretches, but they pulled out a victory that they absolutely had to have.

That's twice the Isles have taken it to the Leafs this year. Man, what an outcome tonight. Chants of "We don't need you" and "Who's your daddy"

There was some jersey burning outside & someone through a plastic snake on the ice as well.
Lots of blame to go around but he bears some blame because he talked about staying.

Not sure why Subban gets most overrated. He's won a Norris & been nominated for another. And Laine? Twenty years old & already 109 goals; one slump & he's overrated? Please.
