CO is generously offering the luxury box at the CAA Arena in Belleville, Ontario ... that includes parking and a free ticket to the booth ... if you think you might be able to attend, please use the email address in CO's profile ... if that doesn't work please PM me and I'll get you in touch with him ... numbers as soon as possible, please ...

I just came back from visiting family in eastern Ontario today. Passed by Belleville around 11 AM actually. Unfortunately the timing is just a little off for me to take you guys up on this generous offer.  |

A good time was had by all ... if you're in the Belleville/Napanee area and you have a hunger on then try Chuck's Roadhouse ... Wednesdays are rib nights and Franko and I had a full rack for $12 ... had I not ordered a draught my bill would have been under $20 ... the steak deals are outstanding, as well ... the arena is around the corner and just down the road from CR ... food and drinks are extra, but the luxury box Spiro can get is right at centre ice and there are no better seats in the rink ... as for the game, the 1st period kind of sucked ... the play was slow, Cayden Primeau was left pretty much on his own and the ice seemed tilted against the Rocket ... Joel Bouchard must have said something to his team because they came out like banshees in the 2nd ... kind of odd seeing Dale Weise in a Rocket uni ... ditto Karl Alzner ... watch for #28 red, Otto Leskinen, to make the club in the future ... saw #41 red, Ryan Poehling, get clipped and bleeding when he got back to the bench ... no call ... good to see Lukus Vejdemo score his 3rd of the season ... #8 red, Josh Brook, took a holding penalty near the end of the 2nd that resembled more of a suplex takedown in wrestling ... he didn't see the ice again until about the halfway point in the 3rd and I think that might have been his last shift of the game ... Primeau made some excellent saves but was 'saved' by his goalposts on more than one occasion ... that said, Belleville goaltender, Marcus Hogberg, was probably the main reason the Sens didn't lose last night ... Cheers. |

Leaf games ... a very reasonably-priced menu * ... wouldn't have been possible had CO not provided tickets to the luxury box ... on behalf of everyone who was there last night I'd like to extend a HUGE thanks to CO for his generosity ... not sure I'd have been able to see the Rocket or experiencing Chuck's otherwise, so it was a great night all around ... Cheers. |
