I got a used jockstrap bet on the line. I don't know what the return will be, but i pre-declined it. lol This entire playoff thing is going to prove we're pretenders. Unfortunatly, it will leave a bad taste in our collective...even if the results are predictable. The season series is slightly in favour of Pittsburgh, 2 games to 1, with the Penguins outscoring the Habs 8-7, but I'm not expecting too much, HA ... we're going into the qualifying round with two 20-year-old centres and it's not quite their time just yet ... I also keep reading that we could steal the series if Jaroslav Halak Carey Price stands on his head, though I'm not buying into it ... that said, if we do happen to take out Pittsburgh, great, but I'm not convinced we have the team to advance further in the playoffs ... that's a tad negative, sure, but like I was saying I'm trying not to expect too much ... Cheers. Halak had a better D in front if him, Markov, Subban, Georges and Petry and a better team overall.. and they had a real goal scorer in Cammallerri.

Markov was injured much off that playoff run. He played 8 games Subban was a healthy scratch for 4 games too Through that playoff run, Montreal's defense consisted mainly of Hal Gill, Marc Andre Bergeron, Roman Hamrlik, Josh Gorges, PK Subban, Ryan O'Byrne, and Jaroslav Spacek.

That D looks better to me that what we have today. Gill was useless overall, especially transition, but he was a good penalty killer. Hamrlik was at the tail end of his career but still solid. Gorges was ok back then. PK was the stud despite being so young and Spacek was a very solid, underrated guy. I was really disappointed when we traded him for Kaberle. Not a good move.

Brian Burke was only media member I heard predicted us to win. He said because Price is money Goalie and Pitt were flat last year in playoffs. Pitt had lost 8 of last 10 playoff games.
