This is absolutely a series Pittsburgh should win quite handily. It'd be pretty embarrassing for them otherwise.
It's already embarrassing that Montreal is in this scenario, because they definitely don't deserve to be in it.

I hope the pens take it 3 games straight in a convincing, embarrassing manner so someone loses their frickin job... sick of this.

Just watched the 1st video and I miss Cammalleri, a guy like him and KK could be magical together.... Better hope Caufield is that good, we could use another Caufield for Suzuki...

Well, I guess we will know soon enough if the boys are going to come through and collectively play over their heads in this series, as Price said last week with a refreshing degree of honesty.
For me the Penguins are not only blessed with more high end difference makers, I think they actually have more depth too.
I suppose anything can happen in a short series, but I have a hard time imagining where the goals are going to come from for the Habs.

It's not goalscoring I'm super concerned about, folatre. It's the lack of communication and poor on-ice decisions that lead to odd-man rushes and poor d-zone management in front of the goaltender. These haven't been fixed for the past 3+ seasons and will all be on full display in this series.

Can we just forfeit and be done with it? I can't stand to watch another putrid ice grazing effort.
I love the saying....the fool opened his mouth and removed any doubt....
I don't love the saying...the Habs played and removed any doubt that they are putrid...
Move on.....

The Habs ( and the other non playoff teams ) are only in this thing to provide content to the broadcasters, they certainly havent earned it. My guess is that these teams will be gone after this round.
I keep hoping that the latest embarrassment will finally get Bergevin fired but Molson has a high tolerance for failure.

Molson has a low tolerance for spending money.... what a tight wad!

Looking forward to Clode having to make the tough decisions.

I'll just be glad this play in is over. HOpe we lose to get the pick. Either Lafrenier or Holtz/Sanderson. Only thing scares me is Price once in a while will play outstanding. Last playoff appearance he made he had a .933% save percentage. In 2011, when we took heavily favoured B to Game 7 overtime, Price had a .934% save percentage. Hope he doesn't turn in one of those performances and we manage a major upset of Pitt

Watching the early games today, my impression is the games are being called pretty tight, almost as if the league wants the play-in round to be whistled like the regular season.
This should terrify Julien, Muller and Richardson.

Just getting started at 8:25. Pitt is the "home" team. Even the board ads look like something you would find in Pittsburgh.
Watching on NBC rather than endure Simpson & Hughson.

Puck bounces off Kotkaniemi's body & into the net. Fluke but it's 1-0.

Puck bounces off Kotkaniemi's body & into the net. Fluke but it's 1-0. Our future #1 centre. Willing to go to the dirty areas and it pays off. They seem to be the only line not spending all their time in our end.

Outshot 17-6. Price quite solid.

Price was excellent and dodged a bullet on the Penguin's power play. Montreal's offensive chances are few and far between.
In the first ten minutes or so, I was particularly worried about Suzuki and Domi's lines even strength. They were both getting cycled pretty hard by Malkin's line and that Tanev-Aston Reese-Blueger line.

Nice snipe by Suzuki there.
Jarry could be between the pipes in game two.

Work hard and goals like that go in ... the game isn't over yet, but they're a different team tonight ... it's 2-2 now, but they're still in it ... a nice debut for our two 20-year-old centres ... the ice has tilted in favour of Pittsburgh ... Cheers.

My son was happy. Now he is sad. When will young Habs fans ever experience an era of on-ice success?

Very impressed with Nick Suzuki tonight ... he's playing in all situations including the PP and the PK ... at 15:17 TOI is tops among Habs forwards ... Jeff Petry with 20:37 TOI ... Shea Weber will break the 20-minute mark, TOI, on his next shift ...
Cheers.
