So as I was saying... That was a fun game to watch. I kept waiting for the other shoe to drop, in the form of a couple of power-play goals against, or a bad give-away or something that would put the Flyers back in the game. Or a knee-on-knee that takes out Suzuki because as Hab fans we haven't been allowed to have nice things for a very long time now. Serious question... how many times has an opposing player been knocked out and/or seriously injured while playing against Montreal? I know Paul Byron was suspended for knocking out Mackenzie Weegar, but I looked it up and Weegar only missed two games (and then famously knocked out Byron, giving him a concussion in return). But after that, the only ones I can think of are Guillaume Latendresse on Rob Di Maio, and going back even further Alexander Perezhoghin on Keith Primeau. I'm sure there have been others, but I can't think of any. Meanwhile, it seems like we're ALWAYS getting key players knocked out - Gallagher, Price, Pacioretty, Eller, Koivu, Zednik... and that's just in the playoffs! That's an unhappy trip down memory lane. To get specific on one of those events, I never thought Perezhogin on Primeau was that bad. At that stage of his career, I think Primeau was more susceptible to injury because of his concussion history.

Back to my infamous 2011 SC finals. Head shots that year were being given 1 game suspensions. Aaron Rome of the Canucks get suspended for a head shot....3 games. Just enough to miss the rest of the finals, for a team missing their entire left defense. It all depends on who you know.

If i was playing and had Webers shot, you can bet everything you have that there would be a few 100 mph shots that would accidentally hit wrists. In Nikapoops case, the question would be....does a 100 mph shot break a jaw? Oooops....
Obviously all accidental....and hockey plays.
Unfortunatly, we do not have anybody on the roster that has anger mismamagement issues or a few screws loose....

I said last summer, when Bergevin traded Deslauriers, that it is good to have a guy who worries opponents a little because they perceive that he is loose cannon who might go do something stupid and maim them in the process.
And since Montreal already had an (over)abundance of mid-round picks, I would have preferred to keep Deslauriers. I don't want total goons who can't play or guys who can't skate on the fourth line, but there needs to a little something different down there. I hate the Bergevin modus operandi of putting crafty finesse guys (e.g. Peca and Weal types) down there.

How many of Philly's goals have gone in off of Habs defensemen this series.

Kevin Hayes, sure glad Montreal is not paying this guy 7 mill a year for 7 years. His 1st goal. 2-0

I'm out and not watching...but given our lack of scoring when behind.....it looks like the good ship Habs is leaking...and sinking.

How many of Philly's goals have gone in off of Habs defensemen this series. Most of them, the last went off a forward.

The Leafs miss Kadri but they should probably have kept Matt Martin for their 4thh line.

Habs are actually looking pretty good. Skating hard and playing with desperation.

The d-corps was pressing up too much too early in the game considering the 2-1 deficit, now it's 3-1, not good at all. Chiarot and Weber are suited to playing a certain brand of hockey and this is not it.

Slick pass by Drouin and the magician Suzuki makes Carter Hart look silly.

were would they be without Suzuki? Sweet sharp angled shot. 3-2
I wish Suzuki's effort would light a fire under Domi. Other than game 2, he's shown a whole lot of nothing.
