I saw this on Twitter, and thought it would be fun to get away from our team beefs and wrack the ol noggin
So the premise is that you only have ten numbers … 0 through 9 , and you have to create the best 6 man lineup using their jersey numbers, BUT you can not use a number twice. So automatically you can't use Patrick Roy (33) or Steve Shutt (22). You have to have three forwards (positions do not matter), two defense, and a goalie. So for example, if you use Dryden (29) as your goalie, you can't use Rocket Richard (9) or Doug Harvey (2) .. Some players wore multiple numbers, but you only get their stats from the number you put them in
Here was my crack at a Habs all-time Suduko challenge
F - 10 - Guy Lafleur F - 4 - Jean Beliveau F - 5 - Boom Boom Geoffrion
D - 76 - PK Subban D - 3 - JC Tremblay
G - 29 - Ken Dryden

Man. You pick a number and it automatically excludes a whole bunch of great players. Pick Robinson and the Rocket is out. Yikes!
I hated adding Recchi, but he had a lot more points and was likely a better player than Dick Duff. I sure wasn't picking Chiarot.
Goal - Rogie Vachon 30
Defense. Doug Harvey. 2 Larry Robinson 19
Forwards. Jean Beliveau (who else?). 4 Dr. Mark Recchi. 8 Boom Boom 5
Recchi has to play LW.
I really wanted Naslund in there, but then I'd have to boot out Harvey.
