Pierre LeBrun was saying on Insider Trading Habs have called Sabres about Ristolainen. Makes sense Habs need a RD after losing Weber and Fleury. We also have a long trade history with Buffalo. Staal, Scandella

I wouldn't be surprised Isles make a big move Wednesday. Lou has cleared a lot of salary. He lost Eberle and traded a bunch of picks to move Ladd's contract. They are close to Cup. Need a big scorer maybe

Which tells us draft picks really aren't worth much this year. Too much uncertainty. I have been wondering that myself for a while now, PTH. Just how good is this draft? Owen Power is a decent 1st overall pick, but no one is saying he's going to be a franchise player or anything. More in line like Aaron Ekblad in 2014. That was an average draft. Some good guys, but some of the best were simply lucky....Brayden Point in Round 3, Pastrnak at 25th overall. Outside of goaltenders the 2nd round was sparse. Could be a year where trading your pick is the best option. |

I think Lou is going after Parise and to keep Palmeri. Palmeri played well in playoffs. He was brought in to replace Lee. Lou may keep both. |
