And there we are, the remainder of the event is cancelled. Sad to see for all these young kids. Guhle captaining his team at home in front of family, etc.

Yes, it is sad for the kids. And all the people who work hard and sacrifice to make a tournament like this possible must feel disappointed. The summer is tighter than a lot of people realize so I am not overly optimistic this can be continued.

The Slovak goalie speaks his mind on how the WJC was run and eventually lead to the IIHF cancelling the event. Nice to see/hear a player speaking their mind instead of the usual cliché responses to questions that we all get spoon fed.
He and his team were based out of Red Deer.
