Kulak jumps off the bench, takes a feed from Suzuki and shows some moves. 5-1.

A lot of guys that might get moved, are showing well tonight. Even if Hughes does not make those deals, the boys are playing very well.

Pitlick iniatates a hit with Ennis but gets the worst if it. Has to be helped to the bench.

A lot of guys that might get moved, are showing well tonight. Even if Hughes does not make those deals, the boys are playing very well. I came here to say that. Allen, Armia, Byron, Kulak, Hoffman, all looked good to various degrees. Only Petry had another tough night. If I were on a contender, I wouldn't move to get Petry simply because a guy who's been out of it like that for most of the season won't suddenly snap out of it, though this summer, with time to move and settle, he might be a shrewd acquisition for someone. ---- Schueneman might be the first real example of something I think big market teams should be trying: signing guys long-term for lower contracts, hoping they'll be worth the expense, and knowing they can at worst be buried in the minors. Offer Schueneman a 5 year deal at 800K, it's a 4M payoff, pretty much winning the lottery, giving him financial stability for life (unless he wastes it all, but he isn't 21 anymore). He's old enough to realize he might well just bounce around the minor for his whole career, and a long-term deal for guaranteed money has to be taken seriously. And I think as a 6th/7th guy he'd be a great fit for a while. A guy like Kulak might not accept this type of offer, but I'd look into it with him as well.

Allen looking very good. Cole and Suze continue to amaze. Schunny doing his thing - so much patience.
Drouin has missed beat - be nice if he had one. What did Pitilck do to get the bookends of Hoffman and Drouin - can you think of two less inspiring wingers?
Don't know what to think of DVO. Big, decent skater, can check and win face-offs. But offensively, nada.
